We use RON in australia=98oct. The US use ron + mon /2. 98+89/2=93.5oct
And from the bp ultimate we had tested a few seasons ago we got 96 ron.
nice use of the calculator there... the base for the tests is knock.....you can only fudge that a couple of points ....9 points from mon to ron.....mmm over ten percent
who did your test and got 96 ......knock engines arent just a dime a dozen? how old was the fuel? the other thing about that would be that the bp 98 is a quality assured fuel and is batched very often..what did they say?
here in west oz ...every batch that we get is tested.
in previous employ I spent many hours at the BP refinery in kwinana with the chemists and can vouch that the fuels here in wa are tested properly
this is a rather futile conversation any way as the engine is being tuned for that fuel.
