You'll probably need more boost than that if you want that sort of power from a turbo that'll be remotely streetable on a 4G93T. I'm expecting around 325whp from my TD06-SL2 20G at 22-24psi. Something FP Green sized could do the trick. Budget plays a big part too, you could rush out and spend big $$ on an FP DSM76 HTA if you had the cash.

Thanks to squirrel performance website for the maps and plots.
There are quite a few variables that are to be entered that change the plotted line on the compressor map/s.
Some of the variables used were: Engine size 1.8ltrs, Target A/F 11:1, BSFC 0.47, Engine redline 7400, Peak Power at 7200, Pressure reference of 14.65
Turbo's compared: TD05-16G Big, GT2871R, GT2876R, GT3071R & GT3076R
Target Engine HP 460 and 480
HP loss through AWD = 17% - 25%
gives 345 - 381 HPATW (460 Engine)
gives 360 - 398 HPATW (480 Engine)
GT3071R & GT3076R maps next post.. (size limits)

The GTX3071R would be well worth considering too: http://www.turbobyga...1R_803712_1.htm

Nice work on the maps, however the 2 16gs (TD05HR)are the reverse type used from the Evo4 onwards
Cool, yeah I had wondered which model it came off... It is a very very good responsive map that can push high boost (IMO)... just make it work lol..
looks like runnign the gt30-71r is my choice but will i need a external wastegate
Need an external gate...?? My GT3071R is internally gated.. You can get 4 different compressor covers and 4 different turbine housings

Some have issues with controlling/ or achieving high boost with an internal gate, depends on your actuator spring and boost controller.
I dont have any problems with 12lb spring and Eboost 1, but i would choose a higher one if i had the choice again .. i wouldnt recommend going lower than 12psi spring..
You can get a 24psi actuator for a GT2871R (internal gate) set up..
you might need to make up a custom actuator depending on your configuration, i had to with mine (easy, buy the parts, dummy fit, weld actuator rod n elbow section together and bolt up)..

Running GT3071R with 0.64 A/R Turbine
I have played it over and paused to view the boost levels at the following RPM values;
Psi RPM
5 @ 3500
10 @ 4000
15 @ 4200
20 @ 4600
25 @ 5000
27.5 @ 5100
30 @ 5500
As you can see the boost climbs very fast, especially in third, acceleration is quick.
Keep in mind Im running a 1.8ltr, standard cams, reduced compression ratio (8.0:1) and running E85 which can reduce boost response because of the less heat generated (unless tuner dials in more timing before boost)..
Has anyone else got similar results using different turbo's both 1.8 and 2.0?
