hello everyone,

im installing a mongoose m80g into my gsr, its nearly all done except for the central locking

what i need help with is on the alarm there is Unlock NC, Unlock COM, Unlock NO, Ground ( when armed), Lock NC, Lock COM, Lock NO

i know what NO and COM and NC mean, i just need to know which wires do i use because some are for Pos locking and some for Neg locking.

and where is the central locking box and what wires do i connect to there.

Also for the door trigger, in a gsr are they Pos or Neg switches and which side of the switch do i wire to?

http://mongoose.com....0/80 series.pdf
here is the manual, wiring diagram is on page 19

cheers guys

door trigger neg switched. you need the wire after the switch. power comes to the door switch, when door opens power flows through the switch and to earth, you want to tap in after the switch on the wire to earth.
you should be tapping into the interior light circuit tho, that way you protect all the doors rather than just one.

below is the wiring for central locking. it also is neg switched. you can see that when you earth BR-L, relay actuator is powered and car will unlock and when you earth BR-W car will lock. these wires are on the door lock control relay B44-X under dash near fuse box (it will click when you play with c/locking) pins 4 and 8 are in the corners.
looks like you need the lock-no and unlock-no ie orange and purple.

hope this helps

ok, for door protection look here at the diagram for interior light.

you need to wire your wire 13 neg door trigger onto pin 10 (R-G) of connecter B64.or anywhere on the black wire that runs down the A-pillar. go for connector b64 though as you can also wire the boot protection to pin 5 (R-B ) on the same B64 connector. not sure if this will affect the auto seat belt thing, but should be ok.
connector B64 is on the junction box, near the central locking relay under dash. look here

Hey, with the wiring for the central locking, another user messaged me and said that I should use the NC wires instead of the NO wires, not saying either of you are wrong but can someone please confirm for me which is right because I don't wanna blow my shut up lol. Also which wires need to be grounded when i do connect the right ones to the relay.

Ps the PDFs won't open anymore, says the link is broken

Cheers

pm me your email and i will send them to you tomorrow.
looking at the diagram i thought it was a NO circuit ie the circuit is normally open and when a door is opened the switch earths closing the circuit.

just speaking to my sparky mate and he says it is NC ie. the door switch when in a relaxed state with no forces applied to it, the switch is closed. hence NC.
