*This Group Buy has Moderator approval*

Hi guys

Site reps have granted permission for this group buy. As added security I have already paid up front for the goods with my credit card to start the ball rolling on the back-order for shift knobs.
This means I accept full risk and responsibility for the parts should they not arrive and you are guaranteed your money back if the sale falls through.
I did the same when organising group buys for various other parts from Malaysia in my coupe forum.

THE PRODUCT:
This is a group buy for Mitsubishi OEM black leather weighted shiftknobs (approx 340 grams each) which are found in a variety of performance cars like the EVO 4 & 5, Eclipses, 3000GT, Legnums etc. They are a genuine Mitsubishi item, black, classy, leather, large, and weighted well. They screw down quite low into the body of the knob and are a great OEM replacement without the expense of a $100+ aftermarket shifter. Hands up who hates having to stuff around with loose sleeves and allen key fittings!! . These shift knobs have metal inside them (alloy) and screw directly onto OEM shifter sticks for a perfect and tight fit B) They also look identical to EVO III shiftknobs but are 15mm longer at the base. I took some comparison pictures between the Group Buy gearknob vs genuine EVO III vs Momo Combat Evo shiftknobs. View pics here: http://www.4gtuner.c...__gopid__230638

FITMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
Depending on the gearstick lever you are using be it an EVO, VR4, GSR, RVR, Lancer, Aftermarket etc: When you tighten down the shiftknob it may or may not stop at the upright 5 speed H-Pattern position. To fix this is simple. Grab a couple of copper washers that fit inside the gearknob housing. Once you have determined that they fit, just put them on your gearstick lever, then screw down your shiftknob. Remove or add a washer til the gearknob fits tightly in the vertical H-pattern position - easy :)

THE BUSINESS CASE:
I found a supplier on US EBay but he refused to sell me one internationally. When I asked him who his supplier was he told me that he was the only supplier in the market for them (yep, a real w@nker). Therefore I went on a mission to track down another supplier who was willing enough to post me one. After about half a dozen refusals or stupid shipping rates like $99 each from Mach V, I convinced a seller to sell me one but I received a $50 quote for postage and insurance on top of the price for the gearknob  . Problem is one shift knob turned to 2, then 3 then 5 after my mates got wind of it. Shipping at those rates seemed ludicrous therefore I struck up a deal with the supplier for a bulk order of 20 in a box and paying by the weight of the box for shipping, rather than a shipping cost for each shifter. This is an opportunity to save some $$ on freight if you were to import them individually by yourself. I checked witth Travis and he said the same shifters retail through Mitsubishi Aust for $179 each, but this group buy will get them in much cheaper! FYI, the similar looking genuine EVO III shiftknobs ex Japan are $230 each!!

Purchases are to be made only if you agree to the following simple Price and Payment conditions...

THE PRICE:
Shipments A/B/C = 1 unit = $48 delivered to your door in a trackable Express Post satchel for quick delivery (no insurance, just tracking).
Shipments A/B/C = 2 units = $92 delivered to your door in a larger trackable Express Post satchel for quick delivery (no insurance, just tracking).
Shipment D = 1 unit = Postage cost will change to $50 Regular Parcel Post under 500g with tracking, insurance and requires signature on delivery. Its safer, but can take up to 5 working days delivery.
Shipment D = 2 units = Postage cost will change to $94 Regular Parcel Post 500g-3kg with tracking, insurance and requires signature on delivery. Its safer, but can take up to 5 working days delivery.

THE PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Payments can be made to my PAYPAL ID: [email protected] . I prefer PAYPAL for ease of transaction although you can PM me for Bank Details if preferred.
Dont forget to let me know in the PAYPAL comments section your username, name and address to send your shiftknob/s to.
A post in this forum would also help me keep track of who wants one in here.
Please Note: Your payment confirms your order, not your name on this list. ie Those who pay first are 'first in best dressed' as the sooner I pay the $$ off my credit card the less interest I have to pay at the end of the month
This is the general rule of thumb for all group buys.

THE MISC INFO:
When there is enough interest generated for another shipment of 15-20, I can contact the seller about back-ordering another box from his supply wharehouse for us :)
For the first couple of shipments, orders will be limited to two (2) gearknobs per member due to a lack of supply and lead time required for back-orders.
These gearknobs are 'brand new' old stock still in their OEM Mitsu packaging. There is only a LIMITED number of them sitting in the US wharehouse until sold out.

*** Each person has been PM'd their Australia Post tracking number to keep tabs on where their shipment is and when to expect it :) ***

As at 15 April stocktake revealed only 89 gearknobs left. Then we ordered 20 for Shipment B and another 20 for Shipment C.
Stocktake revealed only 9 gearknobs left in the warehouse and a confirmed 7 left in stock with our supplier on 11th June.
He's also asking some of his trader's shops over the next few days to see if they have any left in stock for us too... yes, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel now lol.
It looks like we're pretty much snapping up the very last of the gearknobs from the Mitsu warehouse in this final shipment :D

Therefore please pay via PAYPAL immediately as they will be distributed as per the order in the list below - starting with 3ZERCROWD and so on...
If you paid and we find out that stocks have run dry, you are guaranteed your $$ refunded ASAP.

The supplier wanted $$ up front before he placed order with the wharehouse. Therefore I 've already ordered and paid up front for the whole lot + shipping with my credit card.

Are these different to an OEM EVO6 gearknob (apart from the blue stitching)?

Shayne, I checked part numbers and these ones came up as genuine EVO4 & 5 shift knobs amongst other sports model Mitsubishi's.

Nope, you guys can still put your name down.
If you pay before anybody else, you've called shotgun.

Yeah Wicky, its the ones that MachV is selling, but they want $99US for shipping when you try to order just one of the bastards!!
I'll contact the shop today and see about back-ordering another 20.

I'll be keen for a couple next time round Rob. As much as I like my Ralliart ones, I prefer the feel of the stockers! B)

Will pay a bit more for the shipping to NZ of course!
