Hi sirs/ma'ams. Good day. This would be my first post in 4Gtuner.com, I saw this website on a Hot 4s & performance car magazine. Good thing I bought that issue identifying the different forums for my Lancer. I have a Lancer 1997 model EL (4g13) engine, and i have just purchase myself a 4g15 DOHC engine (surplus) to replace my stock engine. I was just wondering, what do i have to do (additional upgrade) to make my new engine powerful in the track. Internal engine upgrade will be more appreciated since the engine is still for installation. But there is a budget restriction in my end, and i don't want to show off my upgrades that's why I opted for an Internal engine upgrade. Thanks in advance sirs/ma'am. Have a great week ahead and am looking forward for your replies.

Hi mate
I built one of these engines a few years ago nothing was off the shelf everything was custom made pistons, rods, cams you couldn't even get head studs for it ,3sgt ones fit but you have to drill and tap the block. it made alright power 300hp atw on 20psi and 50 shot of nos to bring the turbo on it was fun. But really expensive in the end i should of brought an evo 6 motor and made more power easyer.
Evo 9,1008awhp, 2.1lt, GTX42 9.6 @ 154MPH with a 1.88 60ftr (1st full test day)Pro Evo RWD Evo III 7.87 @ 162.8MPH need new diff gears hitting limiterPrevious : Evo Coupe FWD Drag Car 9.8 @ 149.63 MPH95 GSR 10.9 @ 129.9 mph on street tyre/street trim ,98 pump fuel and daily driven

Thanks sir trippy for all your inputs. I will remember all you suggestions sir. Did you also try to reprogram your computer box sir? I've read on the net that they could reprogram it and have it modified? What other modification can be done sir? Thanks for taking time to answer my post. Have a great day sir.

I've recently had custom forged pistons and rods designed and made for the 4G15, the Ralliart Colt Motor to be specific. Until this week I had a few sets in stock. More on their way.

sirs, i would like to get your inputs... i have now installed my 4g15 dohc engine & since my lancer is originally a CK1 with a 4g13 engine. i have replaced my gauge cluster with an EVO4 gauge cluster to have a tachometer/rpm indication. but my problem now is, it doesn't have the right indication specially during high revs. it's indication is fluctuating & i think its giving a false reading. just to make sure that the evo4 gauge cluster (tach.) was not defective, i have asked a friend of mine to test the gauge cluster with his 4g92 sohc CK4a Lancer. and it performed well without any fluctuation. do i have any wrong electrical wiring done? my electrician told me that the evo4 gauge cluster & my 4g15 dohc engine are not compatible... is this true sirs? whats the difference between my original 4g13 engine & a 4g92 sohc engine in terms of electrical wiring? any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated. thanks a lot sirs.
