Lol you have gone from one extreme to another

It you did the t3 manifold and Garrett turbo you need lot more mucking around then just the td05 stuff

if the custom dump i have allready, fitted a highflowed tdo5 i would have been happy - but since it doesnt i might as well plan to go for a garrett turbo, hence the question

You cam get adaptor that can bolt onto your manifold that will go from td05 flange to t3

ok, tdo5 not worth doing then (unless i found a 20g or td06 at a good price).

if the stock mani has a t3 style flange bolt arrangement, can any gt30 garretts be mounted up?

if not, i might as well go a tube manifold (6boost if he makes one for the 93) & dump/front pipe mods.
cheers

hey you might be happy with the FP68HTA......47lb per min which is a bees dick more than a 20g. On a 2litre they spool really well.

on a 93 it might be laggy but if you are chasing a bigger puffer this will bolt on with the same work required to fit a TD05. that is because it apparently starts life as a new evo three turbo.

I have one in the cupboard if you want a look...

I had a TD04L rebuilt by garret for around $400 only about 3-4 years ago...not sure why they are quoting you so much?

Thats my next turbo plan for my Mirage. Keeping the 20G/TD06SL-2, but inside an Evo X exhaust housing and custom twinscroll manifold to suit. Would mean losing my pretty dump/wastegate setup though :(

Evo X is the way to go.. just waiting for GTPumps to have time to put one together!!

Not sure why you would bother with an FP or a Garrett on a stock 93T tho?

TD05 14B is the best option for an easier fit upgrade

+1

Also GTPumps does variants of the Evo 3 turbo in 16 /18 / 20 G if you are wanting to push the envelope . . . Most logical upgrade path i believe .

yes it would be silly to try to fully utilise one of these turbos on a stock 93.

well it would be challenge and could be rewarding fun .............but for the same effort and similar or less cost you could have a 4g63 and more power. just my thoughts on taking the road of least resistance to obtaining a power level

well, good news so far.
uses no water, i havent seen any more smoke & oil leak has stopped :o

i rekon the car had a big build up of water in the exhaust after sitting for a year & with the slope of my driveway it might have made it worse?

Ive got a turbo lined up, so that should be fun, im looking forward to doing the work myself too.
thanks for help.
cheers
Andy

not to be negative of your project, far from it in fact, but,.....perhaps you could document the changes to boost as they happen.

it will be interesting to see how far it can go with that turbo on a stock bottom end. Are you going to push it hard for boost or keep it mild then experiment with tuning to achieve something extra?

3zercrowd has been running 22psi for nearly 2 years now through a stock bottom end using a large 16g he is now running a 20g. i ran 18 through mine for ages. we expected to have blown engines by now but hasnt happened yet. dont discount the 93t it should handle 200wkw without a prob

it will be running very low boost until the other supporting mods happen, which could be a while, but at least its a start.
