I am kinda new. Got a VR4 E39A 89 jap spec... Gears are at a short ratio almost like I have to change quicker coz it revs high faster and travelling at 100kms at 4k rev.... Yeah i can smoke a few cars at 5th gear but I like watch the fuel needle drop and I am going through heaps of fuel..... Any suggestions??? What do I do??? Someone once told me this car was built for track and drag hence acceleration is good but I need it for street/highway driving now.
I am stuck... any ideas????
Thanks,
Roy

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Fuel economy.... Sorry but the Microtech isnt exactly known for its ability to give good fuel economy ! Even at 4000 rpm/100km/h, it should still give pretty good economy. Our gravel rally car with the same gearing still gives 10 litres/100 km on transport stages between special stages.
Regardless of how good the tuner is, the Microtech cant run in closed loop like lots of other aftermarket ecu's, and like the standard management. If its not an all out race car, do your self a favour and convert it back to standard and tune it using an ECMLink setup. The results will be like chalk and cheese. I actually use ECMLink on our race cars using standard factory management... and its pretty unbeatable here in S.A.

I think I have enough bits to convert it to 3.5 if you want. I'll have to check though mate.
