Yep.... that's the car I thought it was!! It was previously owned by another forum member, a good friend of mine, who now has one of my old GSRs.....

I know for sure...that the motor has been swapped since my mate owned it.
The motor which is in it now is pretty much standard, from what I know. Im sure the original owner will EVENTUALLY see this and will be able to tell you a bit more about it!! :)

You would be better off to do the 2 litre conversion bud i have the 2 litre in mine at the moment and there just a better motor all round more torque more power and they handle more boost on the stock internals and theres a bigger variety of off the shelf available for them there just better bang for buck

Mine is usually on boost at about 3000 to 3500 and thats full boost i am about to put a full electronic boost setup in myn when it gets back on the road (eboost2) myn is making just over 170 kw unsure if that is at the wheels or flywheel though . But after owning the gsr motor i wouldn go back to it the 2 litre is far better and in my opinion will out perform the gsr motor even with more boost as a gsr motor will only take 16 psi on standard internals after that it looks to throw a rod

so bit of an up date ive removed the head off my gsr and found quite a few supprises.
1st due to the timing being retared it has heated the head causing the headgasket to leek. then also cracking the head. then cracking the turbo manofild and exahust side of the turbo.:(
also the waist gate wasn't seating properly so it was allways leeking.
2nd there so much silicon stuck to everythink it was even restricting pipes.
so far ive got a spare manofold that ive ported and got the 4g63 tb mached to a spare plennum.
and the head its being fully recoed.
buy the time i get this back on the road i will go 100%better than when i 1st bought it it should hall arse!
