I noticed the post about siemens ecu wiring and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to help....
I am in the UK and have put a 2002 4g93p from a Satria GTI into my 2006 Jumbuck - all is in and plugged together but nothing on the key - I get lights but no cranking - I have looked at the two plugs that go onto the dash loom near the ECU and seen many differences in wire colours/position - the truck has a siemens ecu and the doner gti a mistsu one which we have fitted with the engine loom - it has a triangle key which I think means it has an immobiliser in the mitsu ECU?
Do you know if/how I can swap the wires in the plugs to make it right or do I need to change the dash loom? - I am worried about this as it seems to also power rear lights etc etc which may be different between the car and the truck.
Any help gratefully received.

Regards
Richard.

hi rich, i have just today fired mine for the first time, YAY YAY it lives. it is a 1993 4g93t into jumbuck and basically the same as your engine. the engine is mitsubishi and the ute was siemens. from my understanding and looking at wiring diagrams for the last week or so, the immobilizer is in the body loom and independent of the ecu. use your original key and work the ignition/central locking as normal.
i did have the same issue as you the other week, but i missed plugging a black with yellow trace wire in, it lives near the 6 pin plug on the chassis rail under the afm. btw, have you got all the wires connected for that plug, how many wires on engine loom plug and how many on its mate. there is a power wire on that 5 pin plug too, i think it supplies power to the fuel pump relay.
hope that helps, and im sure you have missed something.

Hi,
Thanks for the info - I have spent most of today on it without success!! Just to confirm, you took out a siemens controlled engine with engine loom and ecu and put it a mitsu controlled engine, loom and ecu and just plugged it into the body/dash loom above the golvebox?
I have done this but can't get it to crank, I can make it crank by earthing the wire on the starter relay but it shows no sign of firing.
There seems to be many differences in the wires at the two large white plastic plugs between the engine loom and dash loom - i have lost faith that it can possibly work just by plugging in!
I was so pi**ed off , I took the old engine loom and ecu and plugged it into the body loom and just connected the two small plugs under the airbox - it then cranked fine on the key! I guess it may be a problem with these two plugs - I have made no alterations but I seem to remember that the 'new' mitsu engine loom has a couple more wires in the plugs than the existing jumbuck part of the loom (which leads to the wing mounted relay box and down to the starter)Anymore info/help gratefully received!!
