Stupid question, but the headlamp intake you have is on the passenger side, isn't the airbox on the VR4 on the drivers side?

Update here.
The 5am top 6am daily sessions on the vr4 are allowing me to make consistent progress with the car.
DC Cables in place.
Decided to place the circuit breakers in the centre console compartment.
100 amp cb for the alternator cable.
70 amp cb for the remaining electrical system including starter motor.
What's the rule with the kill switch? To comply with ANDRA rules?

Love it, that's a lotta $$ in hose fittings!
Stupid question, but the headlamp intake you have is on the passenger side, isn't the airbox on the VR4 on the drivers side?
Anybody who has bought speed flow fittings will understand my pain.
This was only for the fuel system.
The amount of times I've walked out of the speed shop saying that I'm done with spending anymore money on fittings is in the double digits now.. I'm at a point that I actually have usually stock of lines and fittings!

8pm to 1030 tonight...
Pretty much done with the battery relocation and cb / kill switch mounting.
Just need to run a new wire to the alternator and disconnect the old one as the old one allowed the engine to continue running even when the kill switch was off...
Now.. To figure out why the fuel pump relays are not triggering ..
We have light!

Are you using solid state relays to trigger the fuel pumps?
If so, they are likely mosfet and will be polarity dependent on both ithe input and output.

Magna fuel recommend constant voltage otherwise low voltage leads to high current draw and excessive heat. Not recommended by them...Are you using solid state relays to trigger the fuel pumps?

I take it you are using mechanical automotive relays?
I use 100a Jaycar ssr's with no issues; input signal with no switching will see constant output.
There is usually a 1 to 2 tenths voltage drop through the ssr and heat sinking is recommended at high currents.

Yes.. Just the generic 30 amp bosch type relay. ecu Gnd earth of relay, 12v power from the battery is supplied to fuel pump..

Check out sqs racing. They are a mechanical switch mechanism. Not a strain gauge type. Reason being price (300ish vs 850ish). Plus mechanical switch doesn't change in output value because it is only on or off... Strain gauge needs an analogue voltage input and change voltage output over time (needs to be adjusted as it ages).What shift cut gearknob are you using mate?

Check it out for your dog box! It also has 2 outputs so it can tell up shifts or down shifts.. Plus tension adjustable also..

Ngk ntk Wbo2 gauge mounted and wired back into the ecu.
This is a great Wbo2 unit. I can free up the motec display and use the rpm Guage again (previously the rpm bar was my o2 display)..
The fuel pump was leaking so I'm replacing the seals.
The issue was corrosion on the hard anodised area directly under the seal (oring). Hopefully some hylomar will be able to seal it from leaking in conjunction with the oring.....
