Or is that the brace you mention?

Yes. The front line brace is part of the case now. Tolerances and pre load are measured as part of the service I believe.

He also offers the magnus cap.

I believe there are several options in the market including the jb brace made out of steel.

Main thing is the output shaft upgrade which was the traditional shep racing offering in the past.

Ok. So gearbox is out. New parts ready to go in.

Xfer case, Dss axles, boosted 300m output shaft from gearbox to xfer case, direct clutch twin plate.

I'll be pulling the sump off to measure the dip stick length and inspect bearings while it is apart. It hasn't been opened since the build.

Might also redo the turbo drain setup and water pump setup.

All the new bits.

A bit of rubbing on the clutch cover /fork.

This started happening after the last run. I'm suspecting due to the clutch slave losing hydraulic pressure allowing the fork to press into the slave rod...

No. I'm just going to grind a bit more for clearance.

The beauty of the twin plate is the diaphram is low in pressure so the issues that are experienced with a HD single plate are not experienced. Ie broken fork

Ok. More updates.

Sump off. Check dip stick level. Inspection of bearings.

Everything still looks new.. Which is great news for me!

Ive just ordered a vac pump and will add it to the vr4 to improve ring seal and windage.

Also will be changing my oil drain setup.
Plus updating my sub frame setup with something less bulky and lighter..

Yes. This is a 2.4l block with a 2.0l dip stick. I'll compare to a 2.0l block with a 2.0l dipstick and confirm if the same or different

Where do you get it from and whats it worth?

60 dollars a bottle for prep fluid. Need 2 bottles for our cars.

80 dollars a bottle for coolant. Need 2 bottles for our cars.

Not cheap but life time purchase. Prep fluid is reusable.

I'm doing it to reduce pressure on the cooling system and reduce hot spots in the head. Hopefully it works OK. Just make sure you don't have leaks otherwise every drop on the ground is costly!

Let me know how it goes?
Interested to see if it actually makes any major differences to temps?

Ok, been lazy with the VR4. The workb requires me to be on the floor and I really cbf.

I'll probably tidy up the garage and attack it on the weekend.

New parts have arrived! Nitrous jets (so I can assemble the intake manifold and bolt it on with caps on the distribution blocks (so when I go nitrous, I don't have to remove the manifold.. Everything will be in place).

I also have a Par 5th gear to install. Straight cut synchro. . 62 ratio which will give me more top end! Currently my PAR 4th and Vr4 5th are 100rpm apart.

Also an the water pump bracket for the new Ewp (to work with the Evans coolant).

Yes, no crank hp loss. Also no cavitation at high rpm. Faster warm up (pump doesn't flow fully until temp is achieved). After engine cool down (pump continues to work when engine is off).
