Oil feed relocation. Pressure was very low at idle. Now much better.

5psi to now 45psi.

Now off the oil filter housing.

are you restricting the oil feed pressure baz?

dont think the turbo would like 80psi of oil pressure

Yep George.

Adjustable oil pressure feed valve installed.
Screw driver to adjust (reduces flow to turbo)

It's been set to 45psi as per garrett instructions.

Worked on idle tuning yesterday night.
Couldn't get it to go below 1500 rpm.

Found some issues.
Did a boat leak test and there was a leak at the manifold gasket. 1 hour later, changed the gasket and leak fixed. Note holds more than 5psi! Did another test and found another leak! First silicone hose. Loosened the clamp and retightened... Fixed! 15psi holds now . But found the next leak! Throttle body hose... Repositioned the clamp afew mm and retightened.. Fixed! Now holds 20psi!

My compressor couldn't provide enough air to test any higher.. The Tb leaks ever so slightly at the seals or maybe it is designed to bleed for Base idle? Apart from that it is ready for a tune.

Oh, I also adjusted the cam timing to try and improve idle and low down torque.

So I advanced the exhaust can by 4 degrees and retarded the intake cam by 2 degrees.
This is to decrease overlap and increase the lobe separation angle.

It will be going to Springy Performance for the dyno tuning. I've also got the OK from Dan from Springy that he'll come out to the track with me to help with the car! woohoo!

Any idea of what sort of power it should make?

Looking good Barry!

Have you considered using the new Turbosmart pressure reg that they just released for turbos? Limits oil pressure to 40psi Max no matter what the revs are!

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Made 425kw at the wheels last time on 24psi. Ran out of fuel (pump was too small). Aiming for 30psi this time.

That was actually my first choice but not on sale until 2017 Feb? March? So I just purchased a similar thing made by another mob in USA.

Wow. I'd be over the moon at that power level!

Ok. A bit of an update.

Burning a bit of smoke and I'm suspecting that it is valve stem seals.
I'm getting nice clean oil in the intake ports only.

Nothing through the piping and exhuast looks dry...

So I'm going to do the timing belt at the same time.

APC spec. No idea honestly. I took measurements and they were bigger than my fp3 cams.
