Need some opinions guys I've got an evo 1 and it already has a genuine evo 3 front bar and side skirts so I'm definately getting the evo 3 rear pods but I'm still tryin to decide whether to get an evo 3 wing to finish it off or leave it without a wing as it is now!

I went for the wing while my car was getting painted. Seemed like the obvious choice as thats the style they were intended to have. But each to their own.
GSR Lancer- JE-73-VO, 11.701@125mph, 1.79 60" and getting faster. No:3 conrod now orbiting the moon.

One time at the Drags this year (whilst I was in Brisbane visiting - Willowbank), their were two evo's racing, they were mates.. I think they were Evo 7's but maybe 9's.. cant remember.
I went for a chat as usual..
One Red, one white.. they had the same mods more or less..
The Red Evo was experimenting with Drag Times with the Wing on then with the Wing off..
He recorded quicker times with the wing removed, a noticeable difference too, both in ET and MPH, up to 0.3 sec quicker (in the 12 sec bracket)..
I was surprised at the difference.
Choice is yours.
"but now the secret is out, hehe"
Anyone else experimented with wing removed for the drags?

I love the look of the evo 3 as it is untampered with...but as my cars an evo 1 do u think I should just go back to the full evo 1 kit? Hmmm I hate these decisions!!!

I've been thinking of going wingless too.
The plan was to take the Evo 3 wing off and replace it with a light-weight carbon or ali item. It's all about shedding weight rather than aesthetics.
I think Evos look good both with and without wings due to the puffed out guards.
I have heard though that a wing does help heaps with high speed stability
