Ok so since having an accident after Xmas with a kangaroo I have finally got my hands on all the parts to get it back together. I just have to wait for some good weather to paint the new parts :) see pics for awesomeness.

Genuine evo 2 guards and front bar, these came from the uk so the reo is pretty rusty but I’ll clean that up :) eBay headlights with the back blacked out, should look good against the blue when it’s done.

New intercooler piping, the old hot side was mashed and I felt it was a good time to make it all look neater + a new intake pipe, no afm needed because I bought robs link ecu.

Gonna refit the a/c while it’s all pulled apart.

I also pulled off the water oil cooler thingo and will re install the big oil cooler I had, just have to get better fittings that don’t leak :/ ae07f09cbc3b33e78ce11fccb1fc9667.jpgda9c2f246b21fb25448f87c9b22282d8.jpg2233d75b8f7b40673a7de553200ded91.jpg588a88a0209df71f6e40b84bd80e40db.jpg

That front end looks so nice, I reckon the accident was a blessing in disguise.

I stripped the reo and mesh and all the rusty old nuts and bolts tonight, so I could test fit just the skin to see how it fits up with the big intercooler... there is only a small part underneath which will need trimming to fit nicely, and it will be hidden by the lip when it’s re fitted :)

The reo will need a bit more trimming than the bumper though but that won’t be seen so that’s fine.

The brackets that hold the lip and the mesh on were all basically fucked due to rust. I should mostly be able to use nuts and bolts with washers to hold it together firmly but am a little concerned about the bumper sagging without the brackets so I’ll brace it to the body or the intercooler somehow, haven’t figured that out yet.

Also I’m on the look out for a replacement roof, if anyone comes across a clean one at the wreckers or their mates dads cousins have an old lancer in the back paddock let me know. I hear the new parts have now been discontinued by Mitsubishi and proton??

Thanks for looking.

I replaced the roof on my 380. Put a sunroof roof on. Pretty intensive job!

Sunroofs are more trouble than they are worth.
Mitsubishi sunroofs are renowned for leaking over time too!
I got rid of the sunroof on my Evo when I did the roof skin.
