I have done quite a few mods to my N43W Chariot GT 4G63T like big GTpumps, Td05 16G turbo, boost controller, 3" Cat back, Large throttle bodies, Racing spark plugs+ cables..etc

Now I wish to change for a set of cams from 1991 Galant VR4 but I am a bit worry high boost using this cams with TD05 will soon kill my AT gearbox...Any buddies knows if the original AT shall handles 280BHP+ ?

I am desperate for a MT conversion however a guy who own a full set of 1991 Galant VR4 MT kit comments those wont fit my car thus staying AT is the best i can do right now

Many thanks indeed

I did buy a TD05 16G but was taken off my car before I set out for test run
The current TD04-15 turbo is not giving me enough acceleration after 4Krpm so I do rillly wanna try Td05
Since mine is AT still not yet decide how much boost I can run with that turbo
Scared to break the gearbox since it is so hard to find replacement parts
Any ideas?
Thanks

They can handle prob 1500hp but you live in Hong Kong & the freight from me to you is a killer.
I don't sell just the modded parts needed to make the box handle it.
I build the boxes as a hobby for members here only.
You should change it to be manual if you like boost.
Cheers !

Umm.. :(
Now that I cant find any EVO3 or RVR MT here to do the swap
Any better automatic fluid best to withstand the boost than the Mitsubishi Diamond SP-III ATF I am currently using?

Will these works?

Have you found any solution? I would like to upgrade my engine, but still have the stock auto transmission as well.

My point being that...you will be lucky for the op to reply to your question as it was asked over 5 years ago.

I'm running the W4A32

These are auto boxes for non-turbo engines. I have one, but I'm using it for the final drive gears only.........the rest is junk. They are weaker than the W4A33 boxes, that's why we don't used them for anything except the gears.

You might get lucky for a while and have it hold together, but there is a reason the turbo models run the 33.

What are your plans for the car  power wise? Are you planning on running a stock 4g63t or boosting your 4g64?

I'd be content with 200-300 HP (That's a big range, I know) Is it more economical boost the 64 or just go for a 63t swap? Either way it sounds like I'd need a new tranny to handle the power, right?

200-300 AWHP? That is a lot for that box to handle, however, I'd probably run with the W4A32 for a while and see how it goes, when it breaks look for a W4A33, that's just my opinion though.

Engine wise, I'd go for the 4g63 and std ecu and keep it under 16psi, that will make you smile long enough to save for the rest of the drivetrain.

Aldo is king for auto boxes......that is all.....

I have 310awkw and it has not been the fail point shooting for 450awkw once it is fixed... a mate has 350fwkw and it leaves two very black marks up the street :)

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
