And sonata is 283mm (890mm÷3.14).
You said your 2 wheels are 270mm (pretty close to 272) so the sonata one is bigger.
Go get a sonata one or make me a offer for mine and for solving all your problems.
Or like everyone of my 5307 posts so I have more rep points than jamo.

Got the tape measure out ran it over my two here.
Now i forgot, but my AWD one isnt VR4 or Evo, it's CB AWD Cyborg.
Both are 272mm dia with 106 teeth, only difference being the FWD has 200mm clutch plate and AWD being 225mm.
CB FWD on the left, and CB AWD on the right.
I also checked out the starter motors to see if there is any difference between the two and there was not.
Just realizing this info may/may not be helpful.

It seems your cb awd wheel is functionally the same as a vr4 wheel or my fidanza will only fit a cyborg....

I'm not entirely sure on if the CB AWD one and the VR4 are interchangeable units??
But one thing i did notice when measuring them up is when they are both sitting on the bench, how different the placing of the ring gear was, but upon closer inspection and measuring from the back, there is only 1mm difference (better known as fuck all in metric), between the face of the crank, and the placement of the ring gear.

With the cb used just the cb gsr flywheel and gearbox, ratios are a tad shorter (3650rpm@110kph) but with ratios being so short it just wheel spins.
With the excel I'm currently using the same setup as above, but I did get a lantra gearbox in it but I had issues with the shifter setup and just found it was easier to put the cb box back in to get it on the road asap. Will revisit this later as my shifter said I was selecting 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th but I was selecting 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse. But I was also using a cb gsr flywheel as well.
But when I attempted to use the Hyundai box, I forgot to change that small plate between the box and the engine as found out the starter was in a slightly different location, changed that and made it all blend.
Hope this helps but it's hard to write a essay on a phone
