Information from Complete RVR

As some of you are aware, my RVR was stolen earlier in the year... and well I never saw it again, not a word of it.
Sad, but what can you do...
As some of you may also be aware, I am the owner of the DIY site CompleteRVR.com
I am unsure exactly when; as I haven't looked it up, but the site will eventually close as I have no use for it with no RVR.
I cannot contribute to it, and sadly lost the enthusiasm/ time to research the answers and anything else.
There was a gray area with information being copied back in the days of EVO Crew and before my site closes want to post this.
If there is anything on Complete RVR of benefit, please copy/paste.
If someone wants to copy the DIYs I can give them mod access to do so (realistically from one of the older owners here that I have known of longer - I'm sure you know who you are)
I put a bit of effort into getting that data and do not want it to go to waste. I'm sure by now a bit of it is on here which is good.
I'll keep checking back on here for a while to answer any questions help in whatever way.
I also post on the site about if someone wishes to take over the site they may also (though perhaps no real point - up to you)
Cheers all.
RIP: 1996 RVR SSG Auto.
Great memories on the road, and off.

Here's hoping the "bug" bites you again soon, and you find yourself behind the wheel of another one of these fantastic little vehicles sometime in the near future
Cheers, man.

It would be a great shame to lose it. Let me know if your interested in uploading the site to me?
Cheers

I just like mine and more than occasionally smile when I'm driving.
It hasn't been on the road for a few weeks and I'm very glad to be back in the Recaro.
If it was taken it would be stick out like a sore thumb as it's the only one in my part of the world.
The site is definitely worth keeping.
It has obviously been very strictly looked after with no BS allowed.
There is often too much opinion and not enough fact on some sites but this one is a beauty.
Cheers
Mal
Still love the RVR but am paranoid about little noises

I have a server available that I could host it on.
It would be a great shame to lose it. Let me know if your interested in uploading the site to me?

Hi Shorty
Sounds fine with me, Unsure if you're signed up, I have recently turned off registration as I had too much spam sign up, and never patched the forum. (a lot of mods and lost track)
Still trying to work out when the accounts expires, but will download a copy to my personal server for upload to yours.
Yeah, I do miss it sometimes, especially seeing pics of it again, and it was the car that myself and the wife took on our honeymoon. Will be missed even more when we move.Who would want to steal an RVR. (Bastards) Commiseration on the loss.

But anyway, yeah the site is regulated, but then again was never really posted on, which made it easier, was more for DIY over anything and acting as a resource centre which these cars didn't have much of... atleast in 1 place.
Cheers Phil.Really sorry to hear about both the loss of the RVR and the closing of the site, Dan. Thanks for all the help to me personally and all the enthusiasm contributed to the community in all things RVR, not to mention the tech help from the site.

Glad yours is still going strong
Sadly don't think I ever could go back to one, though perhaps another may rest in my future garage for preservation.

Been a long time coming, and I received the email a month ago for the renewal of Complete RVR.
After much deliberation I have decided to keep the site online.
I spent quite a lot of time, and put a lot of effort in to it for it to disappear in to the pages of a forgotten history.
I hope that the contributions made on the site can help people to keep these cars on the road, and that one day may help me to fix another RVR up. (Time will tell)
For now, I'm enjoying quiet luxury in the city, but the move to the country in the future will bring new requirements.
Cheers to those who offered to keep it alive, for now, it's not going anywhere.
