they crashed valves into my pistons - ( had to rebuild whole engine ) they have had my car there for over 1 year , they always say my car is booked in this week ... but then i ring the following week and nothing has been done..
I have spent over $25,000 dollars there and they do not give a dam.. they are not very good or professional at all.. they only care about getting money of you.. I gave them $15,000 dollars a year ago in cash and still I have no car..

Cheers Thanks for that .. the reason I did not take my car anywhere else was that .. it was in bits in their workshop and I guess I was trusting them so much as I have been going there for a few years for servicing so I thought I was in the right place,.see id they are a member of the motor trades association. If Yes ...go there and complain
so I gave them the benefit of doubt..

Personally I didn't find Techsport all that good to deal with and have vowed never to go back to them. IMO if you're looking for a workshop to take your car to - you could send DOUGMO (George) a PM as he works for a performance workshop.
Thankyou for your reply and i will contact george to see if he ia able to help..
Its very dissapointing when you put your money and time into someone you trust and they just throw it back into your face..
Thanks again..

I had a similar experience @ Russell Performance. I sued the wanker, and won.
My advice is never pay for anything in advance, as that seems to only promote the workshop not to do any work.
In the situation your in now, get the mechanic to agree on a delivery date for the car (via email) and if they miss lodge a claim with small claims court like i did.
But always use email so you have a record of what has happened. I printed off a bunch of emails for court, and I barely had to explain anything and was awarded everything i asked for.
Although, the dog, Adam Russell (Russell Performance) has ran from the debt.
Im sure IF tech sport have done the wrong thing, and you take them to court, since they have a business it will be very easy to get any money the court awards you from them, In my Case, Russell Performance closed down.

You can also engage a lawyer and sue them through small claims but you must have everything documented in writing before that occurs. Via the email route listed above for instance.
VCAT won't take the case unless it's referred to them by a court for mediation and arbitration.
I'm actually in the process of going through this now as my car's been in the shop for nearly 18 months and one failed engine build later.
Good luck man, you're not alone (Although my problem isn't with techsport)

If they are a member of VACC (which they probably are) just ring them. They have a claims and resolutions department headed up by a guy named John. He'll take the fight to them for you.

No way so he skimped on his responsibilities I am not bring my cars there anymore.
But good help is hard to find in the regional areas and good luck with finding a proper 4wd dyno to help you.

I replied to this buy " you cannot use a cometic head gasket onto a block that has been o-ringed " his reply was silent--- I then asked .. has my block been o-ringed as asked... He replid NO !!
SO for 1 whole year during this engine build he has lied to me the whole way by telling me YES we o-ringed the block as you asked..
I'M so tired of this bulls--t , not only am I out of pocket and no car.. the engine builder has not done as I have asked.. damn Tech-Sport.
Are they proffesional?? Are they good mechanical engineers / mechanics / evo specialsts???

From what I've been told Techsport don't do much (if any!) in-house building of engines/gearboxes etc, they outsource it all, so chances are they wouldn't have a clue what was going on/happening with your engine - hence the silence when you confronted them about the O-ring gasket situation.
They are Evo-specialists but IMO seem to specialise in the situations where the owner has little/no mechanical understanding and an open cheque-book to fund the final bill and then use intimidation to ensure you don't argue.
Remember above all else - never let emotion lead the discussion - work with facts and data.

Mate, I'd cut my losses and pull out of the deal. Tell them you want your money refunded as you don't have anything to show for it over the time they've had your car and that unless they can provide you with something that shows you where/how it's been spent you'll be taking it further. Get them to provide you with a list which itemises where your money has gone since you started dealing with them - they would have to keep all that sort of detail for tax purposes. It'll also give you ammunition to use when confronting them so you can go through each expense and demand to know what's taking so long for the outcome to be delivered.

Send them the email stating your intentions - say something along the lines of you're wanting to finalise your budget for the car and need to know what's outstanding and how much $$$ you've already spent on what. Ask them to have the itemised list ready and that you'll be following your email up with them the next day by phone (that way they have 24hrs to get your list ready). DON'T GET EMOTIONAL IN WRITING!!
When you ring - again, clearly state that you would like them to have the list ready which shows where your $$$ have been spent and on what and that you'd like to have that list ready for a personal review and discussion with them. You will achieve so much more in a phone call versus an email.
You may need to confront them in person - once you've got your list and given them the chance to show that they have in fact attempted to do the right thing by you, you can stand there and state that you're not satisfied with their level of service and that you've failed to see where your $$$ and the time have been spent.
Always remember though (hence why I'm saying it again!!) - keep emotion out of it as much as you can. If you get all aggressive and angry, they get all aggressive and defensive and that just shuts the whole process down. With facts and data there's no need to get emotional - they speak for themselves and get the point across very effectively.
Goodluck with it mate. Remember that you've done nothing wrong so don't let them bully or intimidate you. Stay cool and just keep everything clear and concise.
