looking in my ecmlink box, i have this cable. i not sure it is the right one?
http://www.ecmtuning...&products_id=42
is this the same cable as you have used?

ok, i have this plug on the gsr loom in the wreck. it is on the side of the fuse box, but has only 1 wire to it.
http://www.ecmtuning.../diagport-12pin
i imagine i will need these wires in the link as well?
my gsr manual calls this connector b51 (page 68) and says there is no connection. my wreck has 1 wire to it. the jummy doesnt have this plug at all
the above link suggests i need 3 wires only, but what pins do they connect to on the gsr ecu? the evo connections are there.

brian, yours is evo ecu isnt it? and i think that evo and gsr will not swap over without changing some ecu pins?

completed and working/logging etc. woo hoo.
not hard, pin 42 on ecu goes to pin1 on obd1,
pin 43 on ecu goes to pin10 on obd1,
earth goes to pin 12 on obd1

i wired mine so obd1 plug sits above glovebox for ease of use. got a obd1 plug from tr magna, and wired it to the back of the ecu plug.

now if i could get the car stereo/gps to run ecmlink it would be real good

i suppose i can put this here with this topic. i had some issues when putting my ecmlink chip in. when i first installed it it buzzed and clicked the relays and the cel wouldnt turn off. i plugged the old chip back in and car fired up no probs. put the ecm chip back in and same issues. several swaps later and it fired up and ran fine!!! plugged laptop in and it fired up no probs. then i took ecmlink out and put old chip back in as i needed car first up in the morning.
the next day when installing ecmlink again, i couldnt get it to work. found this:
http://www.dsmlink.c...ead.php?t=22307
in post #4 the link shows the preferred socket. i had the cheap one they rekon is crap. so, off to jaycar to get the recommended socket. piggybacked it onto socket on ecu and lo and behold the car fired right up.

moral is if you have issues and the cheap socket, you may have to change it to the recommended one.
