What do you guys think of these? Might be cool with the black & red theme inside the car. Or is original blue the way to go with white TE37s?

Try them Dave, Should look good.
Until only a few weeks back i didn't have stickers on my wheels, Once i put some on (Red) it changed the whole look and brought some attention to the wheels they never had before.

Oh you had to just trump my entire thread by dropping in a link of that beautiful car of yours. God dayum!!!

I do think it will transform the look. I',m just wondering how the black & red stickers would hold up on white rims. Guess the only way might be to try them.

haha sorry mate..not mine much longer..just been sold.
That's only normal sticker vinyl seemed to stick ok, only problem I had was getting them to stick initially because of silicone on the rims. You can always just redo them, Just get more made up in one go then you actually need that way you have spares.

Well I hope you've got a good buyer who'll look after it.

I might give the red on black a go. Might look a bit off with the rim being white then inside the sticker it looking black, but I'll give it a go :)

Realised the reason my car has had so many problems over the past 12 months isn't because of me trying to be cheap or not having JDM mad tyte skillz, but actually not having the right charm in my car. Sorted that out today with a visit to one of the big shrines in Okinawa, and prayed for a good year to come.

And the rims are almost finished with the Rays Time Attack decals on them. I know alignment of the stickers may not be 100% perfect but neither is the rest of the car! It certainly transforms the look, and I think in a good way.

And yes, the rims need a clean but I have to wait for a week for the adhesive to set really good before that.

Fitted a Wilwood Dynalite brake kit from Freaky Parts in the UK today, after a bit of a mission. Calipers and brackets are nice. Only issue was that 4 of the bolts that I was sent were 5mm too short to go through the bracket, caliper and nut to secure it, including one that looked like it had been a longer bolt but milled down to match the others. Had to get some longer bolts but other than that a very nice kit.

Bled the system and drove around my parking area and the brakes felt rock solid and much better than the old FC ones I had on there. About an hour later I then took it round the block a couple of times, getting to about 30-40kph. Was disappointed to find the brakes feeling very soft indeed, as in no amount of pressure could get them even close to locking up, and feeling a little unsafe. I'm hoping one of the bleed nipples was slightly loose and letting some air into the system. Going to try checking everything and rebleeding tomorrow. I know they need to be bed in, but right now I don't feel safe driving them to an area where I could do the bedding in.

Is the pedal soft with the engine off?
It must be air. My standard brakes felt good immediately with new pads, calipers and rotors. Very quick bleed also.
Still being bedded in.

yeah, try rebleeding, the double nipple setup on wilwoods is a pain.
Be carefully to with the bracket bolts that they dont get too close to the inside of the rotor

Right, but what I'm getting at us that he's not using E85,but had still managed to get a knock free powerful run by dropping timing and upping boost. Hopefully I might be able to do the same.

i know this is a bit old.
petrol makes peak torque at the point of knock (unlike e85) so keep pulling timing till you get knock then back it off a bit for your comfort margin. if you have no knock at the points you are looking at, then pull some timing there.

Well that's a little better! After a very cautious trip down to my buddy's, we re-bled and checked everything and the braking felt a lot better. Couldn't lock the tyres up when everything was cold, but got a few little squeaks after just 250C was in the rotors.

Took them out for a round of bedding in tonight too. First 2-3 stops I could feel performance improving. By the 4th 100-30kph stop I was locking up the tyres at full pedal pushing so had to ease off a little. No brake fade during the bedding in run.

Only thing I noticed when I got back was a little bit of wetness near one caliper nipple. It's probably residual from when I was bleeding, but I'll tighten it a tiny bit and just rebleed this coming weekend, just in case. Might see if that brass fitting needs a tiny bit of tightening too.

Other than that, pretty pleased with them now.

yep, check the brass bit, but do it carefully as the material is cheesey and easily stripped if your heavy handed

Well my LEDs came in today so I pulled the cluster out and fitted them. Have to say I'm pretty pleased. There are a couple of darker spots, but you pretty much always are gonna get them unless you customize a whole ring of LEDs around the cluster.

Also did the licence plate too. Am thinking about maybe looking at getting LED for the brake light or reverse light, or even side lights at the front, but am not sure if the directional nature of LEDs will mean it's not so good for them.
