like topic ses , wonder if anyone knows this is possible , i have a spare shifter for a cc lancer and im going to play around abit at work and let you guys know how it goes ..


Anye information anyone has got on there own kit let me know

Bsically shorten the top and lengthen the bottom and lengthen the base

He also angles the stick, INHO i wouldnt have cut n welded the stick that way, i would have left it 1 piece and bent it on an angle

what you want to do is move the forward back pivot upwards keeping the linkage at the same point down low. a true short sift isn't physicly smaller but has a shorter throw due to this changed pivot point. heres a vid on the mcm crew isntalling a bought shifter into a disgusting subie. but they explaing and show what makes a short shifter "short"

A true short shifter would be really good.

My cb lancer are like a mile long through shifting. I installed a cc coupe shifter for smoother shifting. But are they the same as evo's if evo's had a kit?

yes the cc are the same as evo and if you want to get realy cheaky you can use a proton short shifter im using one and i think it almost halved the throw.

have a look on lelong.com for short shifters for proton m21 and wira, they fit the cc lancers. steel ones are $30, aluminium $53, aluminium adjustable ones are $60. i got the steel one, but is pretty heavy and should have got the ali one.

Didnt u say this is for your CB?? i was asking if the CC lancer shifter works on your cb then u can use the proton ones

CC Lancers came in a few models, there was the round body ones which are the coupe, then the sedan which are the EVO1/2/3 shape, then the early ones which were the same shape as a CB lancer... i wasnt sure the Newer CC lancer shifters wouldve fit on the CB, whats why i asked

i can confirm they do fit i've got both shapes here and it fits.

Yes they do I've currently got cc oupe in my cb lancer - I wasnt sure which CC model you were referring too

I got my short shifter off xracing.com for like $55 and it works great shortened the shift by half and it's just easier to get gears in when shifting fast. Easy to install too.
