hey mate , yes im in Christchurch at the moment , i am pretty much ready to go apart from a few hose clamps and just finish off i/c pipework and turbo inlet,
did you fit aftermarket ecu's or just stock ? i have started the wireing on factory ecu but it does have me a little stumped as im not 100 % on where power should go onto the loom ,
i have no idea what it will go like want to keep it all fairly stock for a bit but so far everything has gone quite well . any help on computer and loom would be good , most of the one i have seen on trade me etc seem to run aftermarket, i may go down that road yet but so far the build has been relatively cheep , buy the time i got ecu and tune would nerly double the price of what ive spent already , how far into your express are you ?

I used an old haltech e6k i wired up, i put it in the same spot as the factory ecu. Factory ecu wont be too hard to do, Im doing a link g4 evo 9 plugin in my new van so have to wire it up like an evo 9. Check mynew vans build thread in the members ride section.

I copied and posted this from another forum, few pics and vids to get you motivated.
2000 Mitsubishi L300 van with a 4G64 2.4L turbo 5 speed manual. It has Mitsubishi legnum VR4 16inch rims, lowered 2 inchs rear and 1.5 inchs front. I got hold of an LSD center from a L200 ute for $100 which is fucken cheap, before I had the LSD the van would just fry 1 tyre and not go any wear. Now it bags up both but hooks up quite well. I wanted to build a sleeper so the out side of the van looks quite standard and isn't too loud at idle, it also has a tow bar, a "I love lawn bowls" sticker on the back and retains the standard 1.5 inch exhaust out the back but isn't hooked up.
It was built on a budget out of alot of free parts and dodgy welding and fabrication.
-Walbro intank pump
-50/50 mix Water methylated spirits injection with a 5L plastic fuel can converted.
-cheap 3inch pod filter with a whitey bend intake.
-IHI VF 23 wrx sti turbo (way too small)
-DIY log manifold
-3inch dump into home made 3inch muffler box that dumps a foot before the diff under the car.
-De capped WRX injectors 800+cc's
-Bored out standard throttle body from 55mm to 60mm using a standard wrx throttle blade with ported manifold.
-Reground turbo cam
-Haltech E6K ECU street tuned by me with a wideband and chassis ears.
-2 step limiter that I see 10psi with cut set at 3800rpm (shoots flames)
-Diy shift light by using 4 LED's in the dash.

This car was a great learning experience and is fucken fun to drive . I have had quite a few races to about 130kph against a few modded evos, skylines and STIs and have beaten all of them by at least 1/2 a van length . I tried to play with a 2jz turbo supra last night but he just laughed and shook his head lol, I was a bit disappointed. I see 12psi of boost by 2400rpm and it pulls hard to 7000rpm. (made 300whp on the dyno)

cheers man great motivation that thing sounds like an animal,
just pluged in the ecu and loom tonight i have 12v and ign wired up but i think i need to power up alot more things , things are getting busy now heading up to christmas and my goal of being finshed before then are getting a bit harder to reach but still not impossible
im sure the ecu is not as hard as im makeing it out but a wireing diagram would be good. just have to use what ive got and nut it out ,
may start about doing my own build thread , mines not going to be as angry as your beast tho :)

well drove it across town to get the rear exhaust finished and checked over today , the thing sounds like an animal ,performance wise it fells strong and seems to run good but not great yet, as i haven't got a knock sensor or 02 on it yet and i think it seems to be pulling lots of timing (maybe limp mode) , got a knock on the way but yet to get/find a suitable 02 , so i think its going to be quite the animal ,.. I don't think the standard clutch is going to last to long :) cant wait to get it running sweet ! I must put the recent pics up these are a bit old might do some tomorrow if there is any interest ,
Had a small problem with the accelerator sticking , didn't take into account the motor twisting under acceleration and the accelerator pulley for the butterfly hits the bottom of the seat or engine bay cover ,.... hopefully something a large hammer can fix :) otherwise all seems good for now , may go programmable ecu further down the track but seeing if i can make it work on the factory ecu for now
