DBA 5000's and A1RM pads rocked up today and I got a fittin
also fitted my $4 mitsubishi badge (I love eBay!)
cant wait to give the pads a proper test through the twisties, hopefully my rotors from america rock up before the weekend so I can fit them to the back and the new pads as well
also did an oil change...love the oil filter placement, makes changing it a breeze!

since im having little luck finding a bonnet im going to explore another alternative
CE Lancer Sedans (series 2) bonnets are the same size and can be had for about $2 on scumtree
plan is to get one and cut a massive hole in it and fit a Uras/Topstage vent to it, not riveting it on but moulding it into the bonnet with bog and fibreglass
shouldnt cost me more than a couple hundred bucks and will give the car a pretty agressive look...plus those vents are 11ty awesome for cooling...dropped temps on my soarers engine bay by 15-20 degrees, obviously its not going to be that dramatic on the evo as it already has a pretty big fuck off hole in the middle of the bonnet.
Thoughts?

but ill blend it into the bonnet like so: (obviously I realise thats a URAS carbon bonnet, but I will be installing the vent like that so there are no visible joins)
might add some flush mount bonnet pins too just for extra rice

got my seats in last night...using the universal sliders with some KOYUU rails...very very happy with the fit and new seating position 50-60mm lower...nice to actually sit in them and not on them like the recaros
if I can be fucked removing the amps from under the front seats I can drop it another 10mm...dont think I can though
harnesses should be here next week then I am all ready for the MGEC time attack...had a read of the supp reg's last night and my car is on the limit for street class...should be pretty competitive I hope!
Deep Corn Nardi and Defi's should get here from Japan next week...then the fitout of the office should be complete

id maybe sell the bonnet provided you had a stocker to replace it with
Ive done a little bit of work on this lately...went to the track 2 weeks ago for its maiden voyage and layed down a 1:23.3 as my best time for the day.
Identified a few areas for improvment on the car, first and foremost the KU36 rubber was not really cutting the mustard...next time im going to step it up again with some federal RSR's, whilst they are still just an Ultra high performance street tyre they should last a few more laps before going off.
Power was the next problem I was having...being pretty much stock power wise my brother in his red evo 5 was walking away from me on the straights...I set about amending this last friday by fitting the dump pipe, front pipe and race cat ive had sitting in my shed

next up is a 22psi actuator and aeromotive 340 stealth fuel pump
Then its off to SKR for a tune and hopefully I should see some numbers around the 220-230awkw realm.
I also got my hands on a Varis rear wing and the materials for a splitter and diffuser are on their way from the USA...Ive got no excuses for next time to crack under a 1:20!

yeah ive heard...
The bride seats have holes in the metal area that joins to the seat for harness eyelets so ive bolted them in there...very handy!

I do have a bonnet but bit of damage on the front after falling asleep after night shift and hitting a small sign.

Finally got the bonnet swap organised today...you might recognise the bonnet from the fastest evo in south australia...but then again you probably wont
paint next weekend hopefully...im either going to fit some flush mounted bonnet pins or get someone to weld up the holes from the old pins

Been a while since I updated this...bonnet is now painted and the car is looking the best its ever looked
im also doing about 250kms a week for work so I decided to buy a more comfortable daily driver that uses a bit less fuel...this now means I can go a bit more silly with this thing without fear of not being able to get to work on monday
There is a trackday coming up on the 16th of November as well so I am in the process of getting the car ready for that...goes in for the E85 tune and 1.5 bar actuator at the start of Nov, should net me a healthy 250+awkw (hopefully more)
Going to have the front splitter and rear wing fitted as well...some brand new BC coilovers are on the way as well...the Tiens were getting a bit long in the tooth and they dont have base height or damper adjustment which I would like
my R1R's arrived today as well...hoping to crack sub 1:20 at mallala on proper road tyres (not semis), if I can do that id be very chuffed as thats regarded as pretty quick for a registered street car on UHP tyres...last time I did a 1:23 with stock power and
