Me and a mate put in a massive effort thursday night to get this thing ready for a November 16 track day...I had to get it tuned before going back so we did the following:
New base height adjustable coilovers
New Aeromotive fuel Pump (C$NT of a job on a CP9A..whole fucking tank needs to come out!)
Install catch can
21psi boost actuator
1050cc FIC injectors
Fitted new rear wing
General tidy up of a couple of things including making some custom bracketry for the wiring in the front gaurds
It eventually saw the dyno at SKR yesterday arvo and put down a respectable 277awkw on 21psi (E85), you cant dual map an Evo 5 ecu so its just the E85 tune for the time being...I dont think id wanna go back to 98 after driving it anyway...it drives like a fucking missle

Knighty puts antilag in his tunes, its only mild so it doesnt mean im going to be changing a turbo every week but almost every time I hit a bar of boost or over and change gears there is a foot long flame and a very loud bang from the exhaust...it will take me a very long time to get sick of that!

As you can see the new rear wing is fucking insane...Ive just taken it off because its way too big to drive around with on the street which is a shame because it looks so awesome with it fitted
All of this was in an effort to get to Mallala on Nov 16 and hopefully go sub 1:20...unfortunately this dream was shattered about 30 minutes ago...along with my 3rd gear, you rarely hear of evo boxes failing so it must have been on its way out and the extra 100 or so KW's at the wheels has given it a helping hand...time to go shopping for a new box then I guess (unless anyone has one they want to give me?)
I am told I can use any 5 speed from an evo 4-9 as long as I use my transfer case...correct?

wow lovely. that extra torque from the e85 would have helped the gear go i bet. must be a handful now.

I only just switched to E85 so i cant say...the difference it makes to the car power wise is however phenominal...makes 21psi at 3500rpm and just keeps on pulling

wow your car looks and sounds insane man!!! sucks to hear about the gearbox after all the time you put in to try get it ready for the track day, hope you find one in time for it.

finally got the gearbox saga over before xmas and put some KM's on this...best economy on E85 has been 210kms to a 45L tank...lol
also put the stock wing back on as they look funny with no wing and tidied up a few things..took a couple photos today after a wash

but yeah those wheels are my "grip" wheels as they are a little less agressive on the offset and width, currently housing some 245/40 R1R's...they are a very decent tyre and probably the best stuff ive ever used on the street
the wing is back on because the other wing is too big for the street and CP's look funny with no rear wing...im going to get another bootlid for the other wing for when it goes to the track
I didnt like the Rota's much at first but they are growing on me!

This thing is unreal! You've really taken a well thought out road with this evo, and are using it the way It's supposed to be used. Props to you!
Out of interest, are you still running standard turbo, intercooler, mani etc? Some big power if so....
