Anyway here's the latest tid bits image of mods - just sorting the boost control at the mo (current = manual.. This week buying Greddy Profec B Spec II).. will be nice to go race her again at WSID but this time WITHOUT the leaky flange :D and hopefully better boost consistency with Profec.

You sure it wasnt Penrith Autobarn? :) Thanks Romeo

Some updates

well been a lil while.. few changes and fixes since my average run at WSID.. epic leaky flange lol

(Now awaiting a tune after these fixes).
  • New Walbro (3 years sitting still did the last one no good)
  • New fuel filter
  • Purchased and fitted Greddy Profec B Spec II - set up for 19psi (still on TD05 14B and all the teeny tiny stock turbo outlet and dump)
  • New inhole gasket (previous ma-naged for some time inc WSID) fitted with nordlock washers from GTPumps
  • Black shoe polish administered (Finally been wanting black shoes for so long!)
  • 1.2 bar actuator fitted - that one is epic win

Since you running a fair amount of boost and exhaust flow through the tiny 6cm 060 housing, have you considered putting an 070 housing on the back of that 14b and letting it breath a tad more up top.
And as a bonus you can throw on an evo 3 dump that Chris loves so much. I recon for such a quick mod and easy adjustment of the angle on the exhaust flange, it'd open her up more. Would be awesome bang for buck after the time and effort spent on the car.

a million times.. i need to sort oil cooler set up first (and dead prop shaft seals). Turbo n dump upgrades don't fit with my std GSR oil filter set up. That and i wanted to see what i could squeeze safely out of this set up first. I'll be doing another WSID run now that everything is fixed and after a tune.

I also need to decide what to do with my ex mani set up as a bigger turbo outlet wont fit with current custom ex mani. Seen a few around .. one with TD05 flange and 1 with T3 flange.. but with external gate set up on both.. so if i do go new ex mani i think I'll be looking at the T3 flange one so i can fit the GT3071R.. but in saying that... ultimately i would like to fit Evo X turbo but that also is very far off being available.

I'll just go with the flow and see whats avail when i'm ready.. maybe even get Mark (GTPumps) to rebuild my turbo to 20G for now.

Going back into working in digital soon so depending on the pay depends on what i do... still got this to put on as well.. has been my desk ornament for over 2 years since i had it made

Thanks for the nice words too boys

Looking good Bron B)
I vote for a GT3071R external wastegate or the GT3071WG with internal wastegate. They are a perfect allrounder on a 2 litre and will be great for your 1.8 :)
On the otherhand a 20G will look stock if thats the kind of look you're going for atm.
You know me, I like bling so I vote to fit that desk ornament (SM intake manifold) and a GT3071R and bling xwg B)

Yeh it will go hard on my driveline! I so want the x turbo. Sigh. Turbo outlet will be next and maybe I'll upgrade the dump to evo. Both still very small original VR4. Definitely needs a choon tho rather badly. Playing ping pong with all this solid boost now.
