hey guys,

ive just bolted up a td05 20g to my evo3 and decided to change the piping so that they enter from either side of the car, plus i can fit my air box once i move the hot side pipe.

i have a stock evo 3 intercooler and also a hdi xo1 (580x210x100)

would i be better of fitting my hdi cooler with 2.5'' piping instead of my stock cooler? will i see alot of lag due to the size of the hdi cooler? piping would also be longer if running the hdi cooler.

cheers
nigel

2-2.5 Inch piping on the hot side will be sufficient as well as having 2.5 Inch on the cold side. Most people who run the cooler piping on both sides of the car run over the heat shield (like mine>> check out the members rides thread) and the bigger cooler will have a slight affect on lag. If you get some custom piping set up with minimal joins the flow and benefits will be better then the original small cooler.

Good luck!

hey mitch if i run the hdi cooler ill be hitting mick up. was looking at getting a 3076 or his 3540 along with an intake manifold before going to mick.

3zer i cant run it over due to my external gate sitting on top of my manifold. ive spun my front cover around so it goes from below.

Ahh ok mate, easy as wouldn't go any bigger then the 3076 unless you were going to stroke it. Look at my old thread for the dyno sheet and see for yourself ;)

What do wonder and why are you replying with crap in a significant amount of threads?

Wonder: about the fmic. When I wrote that there was no reply yet but close to a hundred views. Geuss your brain can't seem to understand that. I can't expect someone with a low understanding of anything like yours to understand the concept of time nor percentage. Being that of a hundred votes the response was zero. So what's the percentile of that, kid?

Also of note, my response was with a light friendly mood/gesture. Where as yours obviously wasn't. At least it seems like you're trying to sound like a prick.

^Probably not a good start for you on here, considering your only new here...If you expect any help advice etc on here in the future I would suggest an attitude adjustment as your current attitude will get you nowhere fast. Just a friendly hint for you.

If one hundred people have viewed the thread but have not commented it most likely means that people don't have a validate answer or hypothesis to share with the original poster.

This reflects my opinions in a more pragmatic way.
