Innovate Lc-1 wideband

So I've install the wideband. Though the sensor is already in the stock vr4 dump pipe. I got a bit side track after rebuilding my vr4 engine to see if it ran which it did.
It came with a led and switch button for calibration purposes
I've wired it as stated. The first step of the calibration works (blinks twice). Second step nothing lights up.
Here are the instructions giving in package
http://www.innovatem..._Quickstart.pdf (Im aware Im suppose to do it free air but to remove the sensor requires me to take dump off which leads to j-pipe, exhaust, IC pipes)
I know the sensor works because ecmlink logs it but im unaware if the readings are true.
Also where I could get a serial - usb adaptor to connect to laptop since it has to serial port connections.

It worked fine.
More info for you guys:
After a while, the readings went funny so without the LED I simply grounded the calibration wire with the sensor in the dump pipe to see if it would affect the readings (I had erratic readings). Anyway this fixed the problem but it quickly became erratic after a few minutes. I replaced the sensor and it was good.
So lesson learnt, leave your engine power on (which should heat up your o2 sensor) about 30 seconds to a minute before firing it up. It must be HOT before it sees any reading.
Also calibrate the sensor every service if possible. The calibration will change during the life of the sensor.

The readings I have seem to be good though I will do once more to be sure.
