Here's a few details on my 94 Evo 2 RS.

I bought it in March 2005. Ran it for the summer and retired it for winter. Gearbox was rebuilt during that summer and Tein coilovers fitted. I also fitted a Gizzmo chipped ECU fitted and turbo elbow with screamer pipe. The car went well but suffered from boost creep and had a few niggles that needed putting right.

After moving house in July 2006 I then had a garage to rebuild the car in. I'd had a sticky clutch pedal a few times so was questioning crankwalk. As I prepared for the worst, I gathered some bits together to allow a bit more power but my plans changed. Initially it was: Gizzmo chipped ecu, 3" exhaust plus induction then to bolting on a steve Murch 20g turbo and fitting Ross pistons to allow for more boost to a much bigger spec when I bought the HKS turbo kit.

Ross Pistons 85.5mm (+0.5mm oversize)
Crower Conrods
Gasflowed cylinder head – std valve sizes
Forced Performance FP3 cams
Fidanza cam pulleys
Supertech valve springs and Titanium caps
New oil pump
Lightened and balanced crank
Balance shafts removed
Cometic head gasket
HKS GT3240 turbo with custom 4" intake and ITG foam air filter.
Tubular T-25 flanged exhaust manifold with Greddy 46mm external wastegate.
Ku Engineering Intake Manifold with S-90 70mm throttle body upgrade and Gizzmo thermal insulator plate.
AN8 stainless braided coolant lines for turbo with Speedflow aeroquip style fittings
Forced Performance inline restrictor/oil filter for turbo with AN4 stainless braided oil feed line from cylinder head. Custom oil drain tube.
Custom intercooler and re-routed pipe work with Synapse Synchronic blow off valve.
19 row MIH oil cooler in relocated position and remote oil filter with MIH billet take-off plate using AN10 stainless braided hose with Speedflow Aeroquip style fittings.
3" exhaust from turbo with v-band fittings – single box at rear
Triple core copper radiator
Samco intercooler and coolant hoses
Slimline 11" radiator fan mounted in front of radiator
Silk Road Engine damper
Greddy Timing belt
Custom oil catch can with -12AN crank case breather lines.

Fuelling
Hardwired Walbro 255 in tank pump
AN6 feed from fuel filter to fuel rail
1000cc injectors
AEM large bore fuel rail
SARD fuel pressure regulator with AN6 feed line and 8mm return line.

Electronics
GEMS ecu running map sensor and boost control with Perrin 3 port boost solenoid
Blitz Turbo Timer

Drivetrain
Rebuild Evo 2 Gearbox with new synchros and bearings
OS Giken twin plate clutch
Ralliart engine mount bushes and north/south beam bushes
Cusco Hypergum shifter bushings

Chassis
J-bars (lower A pillar to inner wing)
Cusco Front and Rear strut brace
Boot floor brace bars
Do-Luck rear floor brace bar.

Suspension
subframes and suspension parts blasted and powder coated black
New Ralliart / OEM suspension arm bushes
Tein HA coilover suspension
Ralliart ARB bushes

Interior
Cusco 4 point rear cage with front door bars
Sparco Pro 2000 bucket seat
AC and heater removed under dash.
Greddy peak recall 60mm gauges for boost, oil pres, oil temp, AFR, EGT and fuel pres. Omoni voltmeter and water temp gauge.
Momo Safari 2 spoke suede rim steering wheel
Splitfire shift light

Aerocatch locking bonnet catches - cable release removed.
Electric power steering pump with stainless braided lines
RaceTech cooling panel
Battery mounted in boot. Cut-off switch on centre console.

There are always things that are on my to-do list with this car. Its a bit cold in the UK at the moment so I’ve not done much in the last month. I plan to swap the cams for something that will work better with the 2 litre motor. The FP3’s are supposed to be great on a stroker motor and i think they are costing me some mid-range and spool. She’s got plenty power though. Definitely the fastest car I’ve ever had. It just eats up the gears.

other things on my list are mostly minor stuff apart from swapping out the Gearbox for one I had rebuilt last year, its had the gearset/shafts shot peened and fitted with a quaife front diff.

oh yeah, and getting it down the quater mile. hopefully she'll go well.
