Next step with my car is big turbo, big cams and ecu

Now I'm thinking for cams 280's should be good ? Any suggestions ?

Turbo I'd like a gt35r and a manifold to suit but don't think any off the shelf will fit behind the alloy radiator. Any thoughts on that subject ?

Forced performance sell http://store.forcedp..._Code=DSM-Turbo
But pricing it all up (everything you need for it) and shipping its comes to about 4k without duty... For that I can get custom Stuff made here.

Only reason I like the FP gear is it 80% bolt on !

I have searched for info here and other sites, but would like some more opinions...

What do you want to accomplish with your car? That is the biggest question that you need to consider before buying anything!

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Thats a laggy turbo man for a 2L.... Id only consider it if you plan on going a 2.3L like a stroker crank or something..

Like Brisvr4 said what do u want to do with the car?
Im building my cb hatch with a 3076r and e85 looking at making around 500fwhp.. :) which is very achievable at the limits of the turbo..
Im buying it for straight lines only and no road use....
I think a 35 is rather large and not very practical.. esspecially now with the e85 options out there... a 30 on e85 will be a shit load more responsive and rip your face off compared to a 35 on pump fuel...
and to be honest you will probably make more power comparing the 2 with the smaller 30...

I don't want to accomplish anything really just looking for a big turbo and want to know what will fit without moving my rad or getting another to fit simple.

I consider gt40 and up turbo's to be to laggy. Revs and boost is what I'm considering and yes will be using e85 out of a drum the same that gets used in my rotary. with a fuel system to suit buts that's not my question really..

What about a gt35r with a smaller exhaust housing ? I'm not looking for responsiveness , but am looking for outright power with the space I have ! Also not looking at going stroker... I like revs

What I want and what I can have is two different things. But 400-450kw would be ideal

35r with a .63 housing isn't too bad.
I run a PTE 6262 with a .82 rear and it makes decent power for me with full boost (33psi+) at less than 5000 on a stock block.
Good enough for 132mph traps on a basic tune.

To get the most room possible i would considering swapping to a well made half size Rad.. I know you dont want to but its a good idea!

Manifold there is nothing like a 6 boost Mani............... IMO..

Still lening towards the FP Setup ! For ease of setup.

I have a Honda rad and spal fan but installed the evo alloy rad and spal fan and my temps are perfect on a hot day and in city traffic with ac cranking B) im not to convinced the Honda rad can guarantee that especially when the boost gets turned up and and revs are high.

Do you have a thick intercooler and a ac condenser in front of it ? How do you find it with the ac on sitting in traffic :)

Rx3 rad is alot bigger than a Honda rad. I use a pwr rx3 unit and 16inch spal in my 808 wagon.

Aircon is for pussies! lol.... (i have sunroof so i dont need it)

i have a HKS cooler and front mounted fans on the rad.... its only a 2 core alloy RX3 rad.... and a colder thermostat and a controlled thermo fan switch to turn on colder then stock....

A .63 will really choke the top end on a 35.

.82 will be hardly any lagier due to it being more efficient and make more top end power.
Full boost around the 5000rpm make is possible

pfft.. 1.06 is the way...
lol

I can tell you this...

I had a GT30.

.63 housing.
Made approx 270 fw kw.
Swapped if for a .82 housing. made approx 330 aw kw.
Swapped the GT30 for a GT35 .(82), made approx 360kw.
I have now swapped the GT35 to a 1.06. I'm hoping to make close to 400kw's or above on BP 98. It should make 400+kw on E85.

Boost for all turbos was approx 24psi - 30psi.

As for spool etc. Obviously the GT30 spooled up faster but honestly, once you hit boost and stay in the boost range, it really doesn't matter down the 1/4. As for a track car, different set of rules apply.

Thanks baz i like the real world info you provide.

That is the exhaust housing i want to run on a 35r if i go that turbo..

My question remains... Can a 35r and manifold be made to fit without going smaller rad ect or is there just not enough room ? What about top mount ?? Before i committo a $2000 turbo

not really interested if its laggy or why i dont need ac ect

Yes a 35r will fit with a standard or pwr radiator. I run a 35r on a 6boost manifold

It will fit but it is very close. You'll probably need solid mounts and I don't know how long the std plastic tanks will hold up for either.

It makes for any works on the turbo a radiator drain and pull out situation.

You don't have to get one but it is piece of mind.
