i'd say he's trying to fit a skyline/supra rim on which is 58mm bore.

ahh yep that's probably it. And yes i can confirm that Falcon rims will fit RVR's with a 'slightly' more postive offest than factory specs. I don't recommend using them though cos it puts too much strain on the wheel bearings.... speaking from experience after having to replace my front wheel bearings because of it. Not a fun task let me tell you... It think RVR's use an offset of +38 or something? Can somebody confirm this?

the rings wont help if the hole in the wheel is smaller?

you need spacers with a 67mm hole to space past the stock hub locator

I would pull the hubs and machine the offending part down, if there was enough meat there. If not, machine the rims.
