yea i saw that you used ply wood just wasnt to sure what to use for the brass bit, ill rip it off the old wheel once it turns up cheers

Ahh yea if you have the same 2 spoke wheel as I did then it should already have it on the back of the wheel, you also need to change the electrical pin on the wires inside the evo wheel to match it up with the wire that comes off the metal circular contact plate from the original wheel

I like the side mirrors, I have a pair of them for my car sitting in the cupboard.

Mike if you didn't already see on FB, there's little tabs on your hinges that stop it from going all the way back, bend them out of the way

Be careful when doing it, on my cc sedan when I pulled the engine out I did this so I didn't have to pull the bonnet off and the rear edge of the bonnet hit the edge of the windscreen and cracked it both sides -_- luckily its a donor car and the screen was already badly cracked, not sure if you have to same clearanc issues on cc coupe or is maybe my bonnet was poorly aligned......

Okay haven't posted on here in over a year so here's an update! ALOT has changed on this car! Basically to try and cut a long story short, a friend of mine who I actually met through ownership of the Lancer had an MR coupe, but it got defected and he got his full license so instead of clearing the defect he decided to just park it in his back yard and buy an Evo! Anyway after it sitting as a lawn ornament in his back yard for around 3 years one day he decided that he should really look at getting rid of it, but in the state it was it wouldn't be worth much to anyone, so scrapping it looked like the best option. However before doing that we should basically re-shell the whole entire car into my car.. 4G93 1.8 engine, entire interior.. basically the lot!

So here are snap-shots of the 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer GLI 1.5 Coupe to 1997 Mitsubishi Lancer MR 1.8 Coupe conversion!

Then the teardown began on my Coupe. This is my daily driver, but luckily for me I have a friend who leant me a car while we did the swap, I didn't wanna give the car back to him after it was done, B16a swapped GLI EK with a tucked bay, injen intake, edelbrock intake mani, AEM fuel rail and some crazy ass exhaust mani! This thing gets up and boogie's!

And with the engine looking abit more presentable, this is how it currently sits, all works and works well!

Then on saturday I went to a dyno day with a group of friends and threw my car on there just for the sake of interest, so for anyone that might be interested in what a 17year old 1.8ltr 4G93 with a K&N panel filter, Xforce headers to 2.5" cat-back exhaust and noisy ass tappets makes on the dyno.. here's my run from Saturday's Dyno Day @ Springy Motors...

It'd buzz along quite nicely now I would imagine, the 4G93s are a solid little engine.  Good job

Looks sweet as, nice and clean!

Where did you get that white sunstrip on your windshield? I want to do similar for front + rear in white as well!

PS didn't see that engine transplant section - good work!

Thanks guys! yea it goes alot nicer than the 1.5 did haha, but could still do with a little more though :/

the white sunstrip was just a roll of white vinyl decal a friend gave to me that I cut into a windscreen visor :) I had to take it off to get a roadworthy though because my wipers hit it so I haven't had it on for a while :/ need a new one!

Also forgot to mention I like the DTM mirrors! Did they align well and did you get the off eGay from a UK seller?
I bought some for the CC sedan but it doesn't seem to fit up for sh*t! Am thinking they sent the wrong ones, or it could be a 'universal' fit?
