Attached are two pictures, one of my Ute with my mates at Quamby Pub out on Bourke Development Road in South West Queensland (Awesome pub, highly reccomended, best feed EVER), and the other is outside my friends house in Merimbula NSW, she had just come back from 12 months in Japan and was like "HOLY S**T!!"
Hope you guys lie my idea of making something different, I mean, strictly not a Street 4GTuner vehicle, but she IS powered by a 4G donk and, well, Jack of All has his on here, so I may as well show mine off.
Also, mine was the first "Rumbuck" she's a 2003 model, and has been badges as the Rumbuck since the start of 2010, it has come to my attention there is a late model 2010 Jumbuck that was sighted in South Australia with nothing more than a bullbar and the name "THE RUMBUCK" on the side. This person is NOT the true Rumbuck, and the vehicle is not even the same colour as mine.
Don't you love how you make something special and others ruin it for you, this is why we can't have nice things. I hate doing damage control when cases of mistaken identity come up.
One time I got hit up by the local MP's for doing burnouts on a Military Establishment, they asked me to positivley identify my vehicle in a video they had been given of a B'n'S Ute, clearly on the Establisment in question, doing exactly what they said, a wicked burnout. Vehicle had similar (If you could call it that, bar was wrong brand to mine, as well as the wrong color rear mudflaps, no side lights, etc) look to mine, same color it appeared in the clip, but I pointed out one very important key feature, the vehicle in question was spinning the rear tyres...
Turned out it was a VS Commodore from a distance greater than what the person told the MP's that he had shot it from, a Video of a VS on a phone shot from 100m will look kinda similar to a Jumbuck from 50m...
One point to note with the engine, we started with a 7 bolt crank engine, so a 2g from a guess, after trying locally to source the part in a short period, we ended up getting a G4CP out of a Hyundai Sonata (I think it was a Sonata) and swapped the Crank, Flywheel, and pressure plate, but fitted the new Thrust Bearing and Clutch Plate that I had purchased with the (wrong) 7 bolt flywheel.
We then installed it and though "Holy S**t!! she is seized, we fucked up" and then realised we screwed up with the adjustments on the torque wrench, slightly over-torqued the conrods, and the was smooth sailing there on. So she now has a 6 bolt crank.
THE PARTS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE!!
Just to stick on the safe side though, although I bought a "reco" donk, we replaced all the bearings, and gaskets while we had her stripped down. Rings were fine, we figure she probably was a rebuild as they looked brand new, we also think they might have skimmed the cylinders with a hone, cos they were schmick!!
