Hi, so have been working on my rvr since the day I got it and going well so far.
Now got a problem when changing gears, specially in 3rd.
It's not really a crunch but I can feel it when changing, only when going up in gears (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
That doesn't happen when the car is cold.
So is the gearbox on its way out, if not (hopefully) then what can I do?
Change the oil?
Also should I add a gearbox oil cooler? if so does anyone have a cheap one?
Thanks alot guys

That should be alright
Went to 2 different places and was told to change the clutch as it's gone.
Also they said that the gearbox is fine.
But still, it's abit annoying how 3rd won't come easy in high rev =[
Anyways where can I get a clutch ?
Asked one of my friends that works in autobarn and he can get me a clutch kit for about $450.
Would I be able to do it at home?
Thanks

As mentioned above, try changing your gear oil to the gl4 Mitsubishi Diaqueen gear oil.

I used Shockproof lightweight in my gearbox when I changed clutch. It's pricey bout $100 for 5l but the difference in gear changes was amazing.

Why does the clutch need to be changed? Which clutch are you going for?
The genuine oil is what you want to use. Try changing that, and then if you're still having issues- post what they are.
Knox/Southern Mitsubishi can supply the fluid for a great price for forum members- speak to Travis... he will be more than happy to help you out!

My clutch is gone, it's not even griping anymore.
Went to Meek Automotive, he's the only guy that I could find that knows about evos
$550 for Exedy sport Organic (genuine)
$350 for normal Exedy clutch
$600 fitting
$50 for oil
$80 Machining flywheel
$1280 for sports or $1080 for normal
What do you guys think ?
Do I need the Sport Organic for everyday driving?
Or should I put that $200 towards something else like a new rocket cover ( i need one) seals and other things.
Thanks alot and if you know anyone that knows about evos in Syd please let me know =]
