I love metal, its pretty much the only thing I regularly listen to..... but a wide range of it haha.
I love some of the older stuff like pantera, slayer and metallica (especially metallica!). then ofcourse the stuff from when I was growing up - system of a down, static X, disturbed etc.
But i also love some of the newer stuff like bring me the horizon haha - these bands tend to be a bit more hit or miss for me though

Pantera Fucking rips!!
Slayer....Sepultura......Rammstein.....Entombed......Stuck Mojo..SOAD ..Metallica.......are just a few that float my boat.
Sure there's plenty more that I listen to that don't spring to mind straight up.

oaoahh soo many good bands already mentioned. Pantera is Sweet, as is Sepultura. Slayer is classic, everyone loves Metallica, and why wouldnt they? I love all the huge American heavy weights, but I also listen to an uber amount of Euro/Scandnavian Extreme Stuff e.g. Necrophagist, Nile, Saxon, Warbringer (Their new album is mindblowing), Revocation..I could go on. An up and coming Australian Tec. Death band called Psycroptic is among my favs also

Now we're talking! While it's not the ONLY genre I listen to, it does get more airtime than anything else.
Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, SOAD and I'll even lump Korn in with this lot.

Lol... when I used to play guitar in the late 80's and 90's (actually still havd the old RX series Ibanez tucked away) I was into Motley Crue, Metallica, Skid Row, Warrant, Def Leppard, Ratt, Pantera, Nirvana, Prodigy, Chilli Peppers, Ozzy, Hendrix, Soundgarden, ACDC, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Van Halen, Poison, Steve Vai Lita Ford, DAD, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, and what not. Its more mainstream than your throaty "God is dead" metal. Still crank up Motley Crue and Pantera on the usb stick in the car. Even back in Pantera Cowboys from Hell days their riffs rocked!!! They introduced that spark that really inspired me to be more creative. Nowadays I enjoy many types of music genres... not just one and admire some of the new talent that has come out in the meantime.
