Hey members

My names Dan, I live in Auckland in NZ. Joined here to educate myself on my new daily.

I Have just aquired a 1988 lancer gsr, its 4wd turbo..
It is quite standard apart from a 2.5in exhaust, some Eibach springs and alloy wheels. Quite amazed with the handling and fuel economy, turbo is great for cruising in a high gear, however for anything else it just runs out of puff way to early. Looking for a nice upgrade.

cheers guys. here is a pic

Hey Dan welcome! Nice GSR looks real tidy.

The tiny standard turbos run out of puff way to early. Jump on trade me and Find yourself some Vr4 gear and bolt it all on. (ECU, manifold, 450cc injectors, AFM Intercooler and as far as turbos go either a tdo4 13g off the 92-94 GSR or a tdo5 14b off the Vr4( you'll need the oil and water lines for the tdo5 tho!

This is probably the easiest and cheapest path to more power out of your GSR.

Also check out.

thanks mate. I ran a 13g for a bit, then cambelt snapped, had a head replacement but it had a burnt valve.........which really upset me.

so now its got a 4g63 with a link g4 and a large turbo!

Yes I will be making the exhaust this weekend, first timer though. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst kind of thing haha.
