Hi. I am passionate to purchase a 2nd hand Proton Satria (Mit Mirage) with a standard 4G93 for modification as my weekend car and personal interest. Need to gather some advice from veterans like you guys.

I like NA just like Ferrari always does (excluding F40). But people always advice me to give up and start looking for Vtecs and Turbos.

Let's not limit to any budgets, but not until NOS comes in. Any advice?

Full roller engine, custom extra light pistons and rods. And spin it to 18k rpm.
Probably need to look towards modern motorcycle engine design for your ideas.

Does it have to be 93?

New gen mirage or Old gen?

Go 4G64 / G4CS 2.4l block, use a custom crank with short stroke or a crank like the ones from 4G61 t (6 bolt only I think). Super long rods, short pistons, big bore, mivec head.

And run a dog box so you can shift at crazy RPMs!

Forum Member 'PAUL' had a mid level 4g93p in a satria - was pushing 100kW atw and he did a best time of 14.3. Below mod list to show the $$$'s and effort to go in to that spec (and considering Paul did a lot of the work himself the costs were not huge)

Engine was rebuilt with 11.0-1 pistons, block bored out 40thou, head shaved, Camtech cams, adjustable cam gears, RPW 4-1, 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust, CAI. Blitz SAFC, 60mm TB

Glenn (Spektor - do not know if he is on t4g) has a stroked 1.9l 4g93/92 hybrid (stroked 4g93p with mivec head). Use this as inspiration, install quad throttle bodies and you will leave all of the honda boys in your wake.

Current projects: Mitsubishi ca5a/ce9a awd hybrid
Daily Rip: CE9A Evo II

Thanks guys.

Btw, I'm going for the old generation of Mit Mirage. I read the article about John Bettie's 4G93 @ 218Bhp too.

I am going for below:

Tomei 305 Degree Cam
Haltech ECU
4 Throttle
Over bore to 82mm
Forged high compression pistons
Rev at 15k RPM

Pardon me if I'm a bit crazy.. haha... I was also thinking of re-constructing/switch the entire body with Aluminium Alloy and Acrylic glass to reduce the weight from 1 tonne to 700kg (maybe).

What do you guys think?

Maybe you could transplant twin hyabusa engines, one for the front axle and the other for the rear.
You will get your required power to weight and big rpm limit plus awd...

Happy to hear you guys supports.

Dear Cage,
Thank you, I think Engineering firm here can custom make any rods with heavy duty materials. Blowing up the engine, gives me a chance to change a new one... Haha...

Btw, will update all once project done. (Just the matter if this Stein comes out a junk or a monster)
