As most of you would have noticed i embarked on a full custom wide body on my car.

I laid down a crap load of cash to own the moulds of all the parts so others may be able to use
them (and of course I can make more if I need them)

All made from light weight fibreglass with reinforcements where required.
Come in either white or black (other colours available at extra cost)
This is top quality stuff made by professonals (not me lol)

I will sell indiviually or I can also offer a better price for multiples.

1: FRONT DOORS - $440 per door ($850 a pair)
The glass doors are actually lighter and stiffer than a fully gutted and hole sawed steel door.
They are a direct copy of a stock door, the holes for mirrors, window regs, hinges, locks etc have
to be drilled (you can see where they should go)
Weight of door shell = 4kgs (this is the complete sheel with the full inner frame etc)

2: REAR DOOR (OPTION #1) - $450 per door ($850 a pair)
Standard rear door, same as above
Weight of door shell = 3.5kgs (this is the complete sheel with the full inner frame etc)

3: REAR DOOR (OPTION #2) - $495 per door ($950 a pair)
This door has a stock inner but the flared outer skin (like mine)
At this stage I dont have the rear 1/4 flares done in glass but they will
be coming as soon as I do mine!

Weight of door shell = 3.5kgs (this is the complete sheel with the full inner frame etc)

4: SIDE SKIRTS - $295 each ($550 a pair)
These are quite low and would only be suited to someone who does the wide body route as they flare out at the back.
they have an awesome scoop on the front to cut air out of the front wheel well.

5:FRONT GUARDS - $395 each ($750 a pair)
These are the widened front guards, mount up on all stock positions and meet up to the front
corner lamp etc in the stock position.
Same as the doors they need holes drilled etc for mounting
Weight 1.1kgs (with the strenghtening material on the vertical area)

photo23.jpg
photo13.jpg

6:FRONT GUARD AIR GUIDES - $135 each ($240 a pair)
These are little ducts that help draw the air out fron the front guard, They also
cover the front door hinges etc for a moother exit of air from the front wheel arch.
Weight = bugger all

435c0450.jpg

7: FRONT SPLITTER - $695
This is not for the faint hearted, it sits very low to the ground (on a very low car approx 50mm to the ground)
Same as the doors they need holes drilled etc for mounting

Pm for more details if you are seriously interested. Please understand this was not a cheap excercise for me to
have all of these parts hand made and then moulded and reproduced.

thanks

Thanks mate, the reason i got to this point was due to not being able to get anything for the earlies.

The doors I could find cost more than this and didnt even have the upper frame (which is why I didnt get them
in the first place plus they had to come from overseas)

On a competition car the amount of weight saved on the doors alone is crazy (50-70kgs)

Nice looking kit mate. Did you buy the mould for the front from nz by any chance?? There were a couple of early evos wearing this bumper competing in the super gt series over there
http://www.performan...onary-tale-154.
Both cars were very quick.I'm guessing this is a build for WTAC 2013?

the bar started out the same as that one but we added 50mm into the lower section to put it closer to the ground.

I was meant to be running it at WTA this year but it will be next year now :(

Well good luck for next year. I had seen your entry this year and was stoked that someone was going to have a serious go in one of the older evo's. I think being so much lighter especially with those new panels you will have a good power to weight ratio. I was considering buying that car for a wee while last year and shipping it here for WTAC. Whats your theory on the lack of Evo 1-3's in this form of Motorsport ??

I drove a 7 RS at WTA last year and they are quite a different beast to drive compared to the earlies.

The later models can run a bigger wheel tyre package which is a big advantage, ACD is also nice.
Mind you my car is 200kgs lighter than that car, and hopefully only about 50 or so kws down on power so it should be ok.
I have time goals for the vic tracks to compare to the creek so we will see how it goes I guess

I'm pretty sure though that you could increase your front and rear footprint considerably with the width of the guards you've gone and built. I don't know if you've ever seen any of the Norris designs evos on u tube especially the Evo 3 he had. Shame he's a muppet and has crashed most of his cars.. Lol.If I ever bring myself to turning my road car in to time attack machine I'll be in touch for some of your goodies mate. Nice work on the car

dont worry, my wheel track is as wide as the 7s is :P front is 200mm wider, when I get my new trailing arms I should be able to fit a 10" rim
on the back(and front) and then hopefully 275s all round (running 255s currently), see how it goes I guess

that is a lot of rubber on the road George.....should really hook up in the corners and make best use of the brakes. looking forward to hearing how it stacks up on the track.

Well body wise you have probably one of the more serious early Evo builds I've ever seen anywhere in the world so congrats on what you've done. How serious is the power plant and drivetrain of this beast??

yeah im hoping the light weight will counteract the lack of tyre, it also could be that the bigger tyres might be a bit
much for the little car anyway, on paper it should be a fairly stout little car
