Rear trailing arms
#1

I am thinking about getting some rear trailing arms made up. I would be getting the rear ones modified so that I can fit a 235 tyre on the rear of the vehicle.
Would anyone else be interested?

Depending on wheel size, Im running running 15x8's 40 offset with Advan A048s 225/50/15 which side wall extanded approx 7mm past the rim. Its pretty much a matter of c sectioning out the front and adding a bit more steel and gussetting on the rear. The biggest thing that I needed to do on the rear was to adjust the lower control arm back in near all the way to tuck the tyre back under, then add an adjustable upper camber arm.

accepts the late model bolt on bearing/hub assembly and its already fitted with a bracket for the rear brembos.
There is no pick up for the rear toe arm.
Toe adjustment is done on the front with a threaded setup, no shims. rose jointed front pivot, at this stage cant run the drum rear handbrake.

Dougmo have you seen these in the flesh?
Are they welded well? Enough gussets etc where they meet the bearing housing?

Is Evo 4 bolt-on bearings the same as 5 & 6?
Pity about the handbrake; Might have to go hydraulic afterall

What about a cable operated spot brake/go kart set up?

Something like this. This one takes 280 - 330 mm discs at 20 mm thickness and is cable operated. Therefore you can use most of the original handbrake set up.
Karts use these hooked up to a disc on the axle.
