So I just bought a Jap spec VR4 and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I won it from an Ebay auction from a guy in Karratha who bought it off his mate in Onslow about 4 months ago. The motor is currently cactus and it is pretty stock over all with about 115,000kms on the odo.

Hey man,
I dont know anything about it... but me and a mate were thinking of buying it together to use for parts . I bet you got a good deal ay!
We just didnt have any means of easily getting it back to Perth so left it at that.
I actually bought my first VR4 about 4 months ago with a cactus motor too... just been fully rebuilt and recon head etc... dropping it back in this Saturday
It's not that bad changing out motor/box... but alot more involved than a carby'd Datsun Stanza
If you decide to wreck it yell out
Simmo

Was a bit of stuffing around to get it down here but I wouldnt say overally cheap after factoring in transport costs etc.
No plans to part it out at the moment I will probably stick a motor in it that I picked up not too long ago. Ive already got an aus spec vr4 but this one looks to be in better condition so I just have to decide which one to make my daily and the other one my track hack.
Ah yeah nice one mate should be good to have another VR4 back on the Perth streets, hope it all goes well. I remember seeing your one around the Kwinana area for a while had also seen it broken down on the side of the road once I have a feeling I took it for a test drive back before it was two tone also
