There are a few places in Perth that do this, so I searched the Yellowpages for ya and found these in Melbourne:

Or you can go to Pedders they make aftermarket replacement racks or re-manufacture. At least they may be able to point you in the right direction.

National Power Steering Pty Ltd

I don't think it will be too difficult to get it rebuilt, have you spoken to Mitsubishi?

Even though the car wasn't Aus delivered you sometimes get the odd employee who is passionate about their job and Mitsubishi vehicles, so the EVO IV to them will be an interesting task and they will make an effort. Everytime I have been to Mitsubishi they are all like "Wow is that a GSR??"

Do you have Ralliart Dealerships? we 'did' when the Tommi Makinnen EVO VIs were on sale, but now the normal dealerships sell the EVOs. The Ralliart service department may be a place to ask?
