so pull the wire off sensor 1 in above diagramm and connect it directly to earth. this should make the temp gauge in the dash read full hot.
if not there is a break in the wire somewhere.
my bet is you probably didnt connect it... I have forgotten it heaps of times

Awesome thanks guys, car is in my work shed and Im travelling to Bundeburg tomorrow for the day for work, so Tuesday I will hopefully fix up the temp problem and take her for a spin then.

At least everything is back together and I can give the car a good clean and buff. The new bumper arrives from nz this week also. Lucky I have a mechanics and panel shop next to my work shed so I can get a road worthy and a buff !

I will post some pics

Ok the engine light is coming on, I check the diagnostics port and am getting 31- knock sensor according to this http://www.vfaq.com/...rical/code.html

I have checked the cable and the knock sensor is all plugged in fine. Can anyone suggest any where else to look?

Also where is the best place to run a boost gauge from ?

Any help greatly appreciated
