The forum was down for most of today, but the hacking actually happened about 2 weeks ago.
The hackers used an exploit in the forum software and modified some of the system files. It wen't undiscovered for days until today when the forum stopped functioning. The exploit since has been fixed by IP.Board.
It took me most of the day to have the site restored mainly because the hacking went undetected for a number of days, and I could not use the latest backups. I had to manually restore the files using some of the older backups.
I don't think we lost any posts or images. The profile updates should also be up to date. Please let me know if you find something not working, and I will look into it.

It's just Subaru being jealous again. Still shitty coz the only thing that went wrong, and the only thing people change with the ft-86 is the stuff They fiddled with

I don't think we were the only one hacked. The IP.Board security patch release is not providing much details about the exploit, but looking how it was released, and that it applied to all previous versions, I sense that others got also hacked.

Not a chance since we don't store any credit card info. All transactions go through paypal.

No, the hacking issue has been resolved long time ago. I noticed the forum software has problems with setting permissions, I will contact support and let you know by PM once this is fixed.

I wanted to change my signature. But I can't find the button to change it any more.
The bar between Email & Password and 'Ignore' Preferences isn't there any more.
Don't know if this has anything to do with the hack. Or am I not allowed to adjust or have a sig. And was it a glitch when I first made it.

I checked the settings, and there is currently a restriction limiting access to the signature to active members only (over 75 posts).

Ok that explains it.
I'll have to keep posting then.
