Tell me how it goes. .. I took out an Excedy clutch and replaced with a PB SportsTuff clutch because the Excedy wasnt holding the torque(brand new) .

The setup I pulled out had about 80,000 k's on it. Was working very nice with no slippage at all, not even when pulling a ton trailer and 300 odd kg in the tub! But I seem to have managed to break one of the 4 cushion springs out of the center! That's why I thought I'd try the racing sports with 6 springs and a heavier looking hub! Some more clamp pressure too with the heavier cover, tho that could just give me a sore leg... :o

A pink box is nice...

The springs coming out of the centre is very common with Exedy !

Had one in a previous car of mine that did the same thing !

They are prone to rattling too!

PBR Sports Tuff was what I was meant to say ;)
The mechanic installed an Excedy and before Id even got 2km's down the road it was slipping as soon as I'd hit boost ( 2000rpm ) .. I realize it hadnt bed in properly but it got alot worse...took it straight back..it was fried.. faulty they rekon..Installed the PBR never looked back..out Launched an EVO VI on the way home :)

I think you found the write up on jumbuck yahoo groups. I think you are a member there?
Neil has his pics up and I have some up as well. I think there is some in my members rides on here as well..
My plate is aluminum and Neils is in steel. I also fitted a switch to run the nlts, that I love...

Had a look at your aluminium plate and also have Neil's template file! Thanks Neil. Has anyone had problems with the firewall still cracking with the plate in place? Cheers...
