Hi All,

Anybody have a copy of the HKS 272 CAM card?
I need to compare my cams to the 272s.

Also, what is the current trend with cam brands these days?

Snap-shotted the HKS specs online a while back Baz :)
I put this little pic together to get an idea of different cam lifts when nutting out what valvespring specs I needed.

Awesome, thanks Rob.

I'm looking for a Cam to suit my new setup.

What's the trend today with a big ass turbo?

Those GSC cams? The S3?

Yeah I got some Kelford TX-272's for my 2 litre... I sold the Crower 280s to downsize the duration but better mirdange performance, ramp up rate and higher lift (11mm I&E). Should provide better performance across the rev range for my setup to 8k redline (im currently running 8250 cut but will see what happens :)
My second choice would have been GSC S2 274's... but if you're looking for mainly top end then you need the extra duration of the S3's over the S2's.
If your valvetrain and clearance to the pistons can handle 12.5mm lift then those Kelford 276/272 combo would be killer. What's your rpm cut?

I've only for about 10.4mm lift on my cams..
Not big at all.

I might try to retard my exhaust Cam and see if i can get the power to continue to climb. At the moment it is dropping off just over 6500 rpm.

10.4mm is not much at all Baz, I have 11mm on 264s

10.4mm 272's are good for most cars, but probably not for what you're trying to achieve because you're aiming for all out WOT acceleration and high shifting for the strip yes?
No matter which way you go, you're going to rob some power down low to make more power up top. Thats a compromise you can live with as you're not really fussed about low down performance on a drag strip.
If you havent already done so, by all means get onto retarding the zorst cam to increase your top end a bit more. However I'd be looking for 280+ minimum cams to provide more useable powerband after each shift :)

My power band has shrunk considerably with this new turbo setup. This turbo needs revs! The gt35r was happy going to 7k.
The t51r wants 9k easy! Just need to set my cams to suit...

If my current cams don't work, might think about Kelfords.
Got a link?

The link I added us the link to the high lift ones baz.

With the few cars I have personally seen on the dyno with t51r the
Power band normally ends up being quite narrow
Maybe about 2000rpm or so
