I don't understand...

While looking through facebook, i stumbled upon this:
Looking at this:
" Daniel Zgela Theres 2 of them in Wgong and 2 of them bought for 10g and he sold his other for 8g and they were genuine evo3 not mock ups "
Has anyone ever see Evo3s going for this cheap? Unless in very tired warn out state i can't picture genuine ones go for that much ? Feel free to prove me wrong. Unless its a case of. " I have a mate, who knew a mate who had a mate who owned this and that type of story" ?
Then there is this:
"Chris Da Show Wilkinson Rice"
The car looks pretty much stock from outside....
.......
......
....
...
I guess i may be venting, to see such neat car get such pos response.
I know that you can get any car out there for cheap... but if its in absolute crap condition and costs peanuts i wouldn't parade around applying same price tag to other cars of same make etc.
Im interested to see what others on here will say

An evo (as is any car) is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. There is a yellow plate E1 with some nice modifications in WA that is FS for $10k atm; it does need a little bit of an external tidy up. Another E1 sold for $7k or $8k about 6 months back. A yellow plate E2 recently sold for $12k. I believe that prices are that low because the cars are at that awkward age, although nostalgia they do not have a large cult following, maintenance costs are ridiculous, and you can get a great converted gsr for under $10k, which is the same thing to most people.

The "Rice" comment is simply trolling. From the picture "Chris Da Show Walkinson" (knob for calling himself that anyway) drive a CE lancer coupe.

You see it all the time when some young guy says he owns a genuine EVO III and all his clueless mates believe him, when in fact its a mocked up GSR done very poorly.
Then there's carsales.com, ebay and gumtree sellers claiming all sorts of crap. Unless the chassis code has REPV in it or there's a yellow plate on the firewall, its not a genuine EVO I-III that's been legitimately registered in Australia - easy as that.
Somebody show me a genuine EVO III yellow plate for $10k and I'll fukn buy it!! If it's a black or silver one, I'll fukn buy it tomorrow! lol
Bang for buck, $10k for a genuine EVO I is still a bargain in my books. EVO II and EVO III in good OEM condition is a $20k car. The better the condition the more it fetches.
These cars are getting rarer to find in great condition and still, as far as I am concerned anyway, my preference would be to own a genuine EVO III over an EVO 4-7 any day.
