hi guys I'm a new member from Trinidad ...been looking specifically for a site like this because im a first time car owner of a second hand ck4 lancer (1999) . really dont kno too much bout cars *shame* but i realy wanna learn more about my car. so since its my first time here lemme ask a question to any admin or experienced owners.

my car isn't in the best of shape *duh its second hand* lol
theres a metallic rattling as i accelerate (which kinda stops wen i pick up speed)
when idling there is a slight tap tapping sounding from the engine (4g15 16 valve fuel injected auto i kno its a step down from the 4g92 it came with but previous owner effed original engine up)
there is also a rattling from my right front tire area wen ever the car hits a bump (i think its the brake calipers being loose or sum thin)
(and bumps are often in my country lol)
my sunroof refuses to open i hear the click wen i hit the switch but it doesnt budge

if anyone can help ill b grateful
i also wud like to kno best mods for this series for the purpose of general use on semi/rural roads/highways
lil accessories that make it a lil cooler lookin and possibly stuff to help me get a smoother ride from it.

I reckon you need to adjust the timing as your engine is pinging. New set of lifters, or oil change to fix the clicking at idle.
Lube the sunroof cables.
Maybe a new cv on the front.
