I have bleed the lines and found my clutch just locked tight no movement . I was told I had pushed the clutch plate/rod thought the plate or something like that . I can see that the slave is squished tight so I don't believe I damaged the clutch just the slave which is old and my master is new . Yes I should get a slave too I no but I have no time and just want too get the car moving again because I move house Friday . Where should I start ? At the clutch under the dash or at the slave and unbolt something . Thanks in advance .

The clutch is fully open by the way . Never had any issues with it before . I just bleed the lines and replacer the master and started pumping the clutch with a mate on the slave and then it started locking up the clutch . The master is the good one that everyone says too buy on here . Type 2 or 3 in a post I saw

You need to adjust your pedal so that the master can bleed fluid back into the system.

Our clutch system is designed to take up the slop for when the clutch materials get worn.
So you should be able to push the slave rod back into the body with your hand.

To enable this, you need to adjust your pedal / master cylinder under the dash.
You need to adjust the nut so it moves towards the body of the master cylinder.
So shorten the throw on the master side of the clutch system.

You will eventually find a sweet spot and the rod on the slave should goe back in.

Good luck.

Really . Man I'm too fat to get two hand up under there sounds like I need to take out the seat lol.
Quick question the clutch was working ok it was sticking too the floor after the master went in but it was working . Then I found a split in the clutch line . This is how it all started so I put a braided line in and bleed the lines then as posted it got hard harder them locked, like not squishing locked , full on like its hitting a brick wall locked . I still believe is not the clutch peddle mechanism its something in the master cylinder or slave that's locked down . How do I post a pic thats of a iPhone with too hi resolution

It is hard to get to...
might be easier to unbolt it from the firewall and slide it out slightly..

No good that bolt is free but has nothing to do with it . Tha master cylinder is the problem or the slave which is still compressed in

ince you've freed that bolt you need to get a 10mm spanner on the flat spot in the rod and rotate the whole rod so that the piston indside the master moves to allow the fluid to return.

can you get under the car and push the slave cylinder back into itself? if not you still need to adjust the master. else go to a barke specialist and buy a new master and slave only cost me $150 to do the pair

yes it's me KHUBNER

That nut is simply a locking nut, as stated above, you now need to rotate the rod into the clamp (part that connects to the pedal).
Another method is to remove the part that connects to the pedal and rotate that then reconnect to the pedal.

Doesn't the bleeder release the slave? Undo the bleeder and the slave should release.

As above,
When your foot is off the clutch, a port opens into the clutch fluid reservoir to allow the fluid to flow. Maybe there is some issue with this port?

BUT, you have bled the clutch so this suggests the port is ok.
Maybe you have a stuffed flex hose or crap in a fitting, that allows fluid to pass, but not return. This would trap fluid pressure in the slave

I think you both right . Somewhere in the lines has a blockage . I cant get the slave open with my hand I did try release (some) fluid from the slave bleeder and tried to jimmy the slave but I stopped . I remember how hard it was to put back that slave line connection the one that is like a copper tube pipe I really twisted the shit out of it to connect it I too of the gearbox bracket , made I ruined it . I'm going to give up and do what u said and find a brake specialist but it cost me 110 just for tha master cylinder so in thinking u got a wicked deal for a slave and master there captain .

Is that slave pipe line easy to get ?

With all the bends it has . Or should I just buy the evo 1 2 3 second hand slave on eBay with the pipe line attached . Thanks in advance .

I think it's pretty common pipe, the slave is on most all manual mitsis and hyundais of that era and on protons with mitsi engines. The pipe is probably the same too.

It's made of bundy tube and a brake and clutch place should be able to make it custom even. (If they are mechanics and not just lazy fitters) Not copper, copper pipe is evil in cars.

For me, I bolt the fitting at the hose and fix that end, then bolt the pipe to the slave with the slave not fitted. Then bolt the slave on with the pipe already started
