Hi everyone, I just picked up my new car this week, and though I would share some photos.

This is my first turbo'd car that i've owned, currently I have a Corolla Sportivo as my daily, a awesome car to drive and shocks a few people, though a bit blanned. Before that, I had a N14 SSS pulsar with a sr in it. I had built a SR16ve motor to go in (2.0L crank + rods. Nice high compression for that extra V-tec yo) though sadly I got bored of the project, sold the car and the motor. Before that I had a CC Lancer Executive which was my first "real car" that I drive everywhere, sadly a pole killed it..

It's a 1993 GSR with 200000k's on it. Overall it is pretty standard besides a 1 stage boost controller, boost guage, turbo timer, front and rear strut braces, thicker rear sway bar, and lowered on king springs.

Here are some photos, all feedback welcome, not to sure where I want to go with it yet, everyone is telling me to go evo 3 kit, though TBH, I like it the way it is. Maybe just some new wheels, a different front bar, front mount. Maybe a 4g63 swap in the future.

Nice GSR , I seen it for sale , looks really clean

if I had a GSR I would keep it looking like a GSR , but they do look good with a evo kit on them

What was wrong with the old cc? A bit of cut polish will get those dents & scratches out :)

I personally like the GSRs looking like GSRs, esp when they're as clean and straight looking as your example.

Not a huge update, but now have some new wheels off nigel_a, set's it off a lot more, plus white on white is freaken sexy.

Installed a ebay short shifter too

next purchase will be a front mount kit I think

Now on the hunt for a new motor, the one that is in it is running fine, just want another base, and when its complete wind the shit out of the boost and have fun with the current 93 :P (still unsure to go another 93 or 63), and a evo 2 front bar

looking good , you could fit a evo 1 rear spoiler straight on there too , as its the same bolt holes I believe

how so you find the shifter compared to the stock one?

I dont mind the GSR spoiler TBH. just the bar im thinking about changing. Short shifter is 1000x better. I got back into the work car this morning and it felt like I was driving a truck (the car's a yaris lol)

Cheap engines can be got from Hyundai sonata 93-99. They are 6 bolt, with no oil squirters, and may have different journal sizes for cams.
Also they will need turbo pistons, but no issues if you rebuilding anyway.
my last one was $150 running i remove.

You could chuck a turbo on the n/a pistons for fun. they put 10psi on them semi reliably in the states.

Yep, they call them g4cs. they have all the 6bolt advantages. fatter mains, bigger small ends, fatter head studs, bigger ports than the 7 bolt engines

wow, can't seem to find much information on them, the comparison at least, so if I were to grab one from a wrecker, get a set of 4g63t rods and postons thick head gasket and off I go?

Go to gumtree.
you could use the rods and just buy 6bolt pistons. rods are as strong as the vr4 ones.
Remember its a 6bolt, so there are other electrical differences, like the cas has a lead not a plug, and the afm is the can type, and you need to sort out a front engine mount.
I never looked at the ecu/loom for the sonata, so dunno if you can plug in a evo ecu or vr4. i just cut the loom at the firewall and sort it out later.
I actually bought it for the head to put on a g4cp 2.4 and i have done more research than measuring
