Whats going on here??
Most of us RVR owners know how bad the 20 year old sun damaged interior gets, especially behind the drivers seat in the rear, like below:
Sound deadner installed, carpet back in... Even the surface rusted rear brackets got a spray
Ive painted and put the whole interior back together now (apart from the front dash)... It may not seem like much of a difference as i colour coded the 2 main colours in the car, but its amazing how its turned the car from a tidy can into a 20 year old van that looks a smells like its just come out of the show room
Well worth the effort and the minimal $250 spent on clear primer, sand paper and paint. Plus you never know what sort of shite you're breathing in from that old sun damage plastic and paints... Especially as i have my 3 year old daughter doing alot of k's with me in the back.
Custom 10" Sub box mostly finished... Full details, dimensions and how to build thread in the RVR section
Few more goodies have just arrived:
GT30, thanks to Blake in Tassie
This is it sitting next to the 20g i was originally going to use... Until i came to my sensors
Sooo much better man, mine looks exactly like yours looked, faded/flakey. Awesome job!!
Thanks bud... Its soooo easy, just sand well, clear primer and paint. It does take time, but its ideal to do whilst your car is off the road getting for a few days
Nice work on the sound deadening mate. It'll make the stereo you're putting together sound that much nicer.
Would've cost a bit I'm guessing for the amount you needed?
Better not sell this one once you're done mate. Haha
Cheers bud, it wasnt too bad actually.... I got a 70square ft pack from a supplier on ebay for $340. I was able to do the whole car apart from the rear boot and one of the front doors. So ive ordered another pack to finish it off and also to cover my Datsun 260Z in the shed.
Yeah im not complaining, it's doing the job just fine
So no one likes a show off, but i think its okay on here
