Yeah married now , all went well and was a good day. I was more nervous than any race day . I've still got that toyo tyre if you want it for spare and rear gto brakes if you eventually want to try and change the rear. Anyway have a good weekend. Should be great fun .

Haha. Yep, shitting bricks I was! I even managed to have a bit of a sook while I was trying to spit my vows out. Fully let the team down, all video has been burnt and hush monies paid.
Might touch base with you about the gto rears soon. Something else to add to my ever increasing to-do list. I'm sweet for tires tho, I managed to find a whole new set of wheels and tires.

Well, all good to go. Leaving tomorrow for Pemberton. Kerry is still limping around but she is good to do the nav work. Mate from up the road is coming as crew and it's looking like the weather is going to be almost perfect.
The start list shows me that we are the only thing that even comes close to supporting the early EVO's, next up the line is the Clarkes' EVO 5. No doubt I'll get my arse handed to me by all the late model EVO's but I'll do my best to do us proud with the early WRX's.
I hear you Ben, going to use the prologue and charity run to scrub them up. Will need to see how we go over the bumps with the 45 series, better with the rolled guards but she may start scrubbing badly over the fast bumps. Will go back on the 888's if it's too bad.
I'll let you all know how it went next week.

Well..... We made it back in one piece. Just about the most fun you can have with your pants on! Had an awesome weekend.
Only issues we had was a blown turbo/manifold gasket on Saturday arvo, and a broken windscreen not long after that. (Stubbie to the first person that can link those two events ) So, we fixed the gasket problem, and then had to decide if driving to Bunbury and back to get a new windscreen was worth it so we could run on Sunday. Fuck'n oath! 6 hours later we got back into Pemberton with a new 'shield ready for the Sunday stages.
No other mechanical problems and driving at about 6 tenths keeping it on the black stuff, and I still have a straight car to drop the '63 into.
Deffinately doing it all again next year. Some pics and video when I get a chance.

No one wants to guess how a blown gasket can lead to a broken windscreen??? Well the dumb arse driver stops to check what the problem is, then drives off with the bonnet pins out. SMACK!!!! Dumbarse.
Next year we need to get out of challenge class, 130km/h limit is probably a life saver but it's also very distracting. Here some videos from us and some others.

Too true!! Got to do more of it, too much of life spent doing "need to live" shit, not enough time doing the "living". Me and wifey discussed stuff like this at length over the weekend. Long story short, we are going to buy a $200 corolla and chuck the kids into some autocross and kanacross, try and get them interested in something other than computers and shit.
And without further ado........... motor swap has started.
And some more fun in the town.

It shall be done.... After I lift the rear up a bit. We did prologue with the 45's, but they just got chopped up by the rear guards. While I have the car stripped down, I will find a spring setting that works, and roll the guards some more. Even for the little bit I ran with the 221's, they are such a superior tire, I need to get them to fit.
The torturing bark from my missus when I went left instead of right on the first run might get some air too. Apparently I'm a bad listener...

Ahh, the little corolla. Going to have a look at that tonight. AE80 with the 1.6, reckons it just needs a new water pump. Given we only want to run it in the 'cross competitions on the dirt, I reckon your more chance of seeing the old 'strut through bonnet' trick. I'm planning of mounting a gopro looking back to the motor, I would like to see if I can film the exact moment the rod penetrates the block.
Happy days!!!

unlikley you will break a 4A.....they will revs as high as you can feed spark, fuel and valve springs. Rebuilt the odd few of those....fantastic little engine.

I had to look them up. I thought it might have been one of those corollas with the starfire 4 in them. They would have to be rod throwers

That's it Brian. Just picked it up then, it's had the 1.3 replaced with the CS 1.6 and looks to have only done a 100k or so. The water pump has shat itself but the rest of it looks fine, runs well. I have some bike carbs that were on the duratec in the escort, might knock up an intake mani and run those. Plenty to do at KillerWatts Racing in the next few months!
@Brian, I've got lots on this weekend with Kerry's 40th and two of the boys birthdays, but if your around next weekend, can I drop down and grab the diff?
